This restaurant has nice and calm atmosphere and space, you won't feel claustrophobic here. Food has always been tasty and delicious with great presentation.
My parent loves the tofu kimchi bibimbap, it's very refreshing. I ordered jajangmyeon and that too is very satisfying. The noodle is cooked right, the blackbean sauce has mild taste together with the sweetness of the brown onion. What was surprising me was the fried chicken. We ordered the honey sauce flavour. Having tried different korean fried chicken expect something rather dry with sauce coating the chicken.
I was wrong. I was blown away by the melt in the mouth chicken meat, well I was exaggerating here, but that's how soft and easy to bite the meat was. And I LOVE sauce, the honey soy sauce was plenty and very flavoursome, and the crispy fried garlic completed the experience.
No one can escape from perfection. I have one recommendation to add the satisfaction of having meal at Hansik. Please please consider having an extra staff member.
The three times I came here, the place was busy and there was only one waiter/waitress plus I think it's the owner who were running around serving, doing extra cleaning (not just table, chairs as well due to covid requirements) , greet and settle the payment. It reminded me of that Dinner Dash game 😂 I was impressed that all staff always show kindness and exceptional customer service.
Please don't forget that nowadays having delicious foods are insufficient to keep the customers come. Especially with busy hours, patrons can be impatient and that's when mistakes happen. People also want to have the best experience having their meals.
Overall I did have good time at Hansik and I'm certain this place...
Read moreAs a family that eats out we have Korean food on a weekly basis. First time here but also our last. Service was ok and it was not busy at all for a Friday night. Nearly half empty. Should have taken that as a sign but we do like to try new places. The fried chicken has a good sauce ( we took the creamy sauce with green chilli ) but the chicken itself was full of flour and the meat was at 80% spoilt. The bibimbap was ok but to have to pay extra for serving in stone hot pot is the first for me. The korean chilli pork fried rice was good but could not find the pork at all no matter how hard we tried. I would never recommend taking their flambe bbq and the food health safety should check on this restaurant. Using a liquid for the flame which smelled like kerosene and tasted really bad if you cooked the meat using the flame due to the gasses but if you dont try to heat up the meat it is cold precooked meat. The seafood pancake was so thick and lacking seafood. Roughly 3cm thickness of flour again. I have read reviews on this place that states best korean food in perth but i am guessing it is the only korean food restaurant the reviewer has eaten at. To summarize - i would not recommend this place and will never...

I and my kids placed ordered at 1:01 pm today, thought it was too much.... so I cancelled the fried chickens and decided double the portions but for take them away.
Waited for 50 MINUTES, before the fried chickens came at 1:50pm, in bowls without lids, we were starving.. so we ate the chickens. I tried to hold my complain for the delay, since I knew they were only 2 people serving the whole restaurant!
Suddenly, the owner - DAVID - korean/chinese guy, came to my table and blamed us why we ate the our take away food ??!
I got so angry.. didnt he know even a fine dining restaurant doesnt take that long for the food to come out.. yet he still blame us to eat our take away food???!
After seeing me being this angry, he swifted his mind like nothing happened.. said that he actually intended to apologise for the delay because only he and his waitress running the restaurant that day! wth..
if he was understaffed, he should told me approx wait time before i placed the order, and shouldnt blame me for eating my take away food there!
Very poor...
