The Old Siam Restaurant — Restaurant in Wollongong City Council

A birthday at our house calls for a nice take out meal and seeing that our usual Thai go-to was closed so we decided to try the next highest rated restaurant on Google.

We ordered from menulog and picked up our food a short time later. The service was fast and efficient and friendly.

The entrees were average with the chicken skewers a little overcooked.

The mains were tasty and flavourful. Maybe lacking a little in presentation compared with our usual but still everything hit the spot.

Stand out dish was the pumpkin curry.

Price wise it is a little more expensive than our local but still not too bad...

Food was quite tasty, and the green curry was one of the best I have ever tasted. We also got the sweet soy sauce vegetable and tofu, dried chili and cashew nut vegetable and tofu and grilled pork. Service was great! The waitress even gave us two sauces for the pork - one for our toddler and the spicy one for adults. She forgot our drinks but that was rectified quickly. Toilet at the back was extremely clean. Lunch specials were only $10-14 each with fairly large portions. They have high chairs, for those with kids. Would recommend this...

Extensive menu our chicken and beef beautifully cooked very pleasant staff. Would have given 5 stars but only critisism staff need to keep better watch on customers to see if anything needed whilst seated. I had to go to counter twice to get extra knife and plate after failing to get attention.
