We ordered delivery through Uber Eats last night and ran into problems with our order. Somehow, the delivery was delayed because of some communication problem between Uber Eats and the restaurant. We don't know all the details, but the food did eventually show up.
However, one dish was missing completely. We had ordered a barramundi dish, along with some steamed rice to go with it, plus a bunch of other food. Somehow, everything arrived except the fish. We called the restaurant, only to be told we had to take it up with Uber Eats. Now, I get it, Uber Eats is taking the order, and a cut, and our business is with them. However, the restaurant was less than helpful, and we were stuck with not enough food for everyone, and no way to fix it.
The delivery issue, and loss of communication between the restaurant and Uber Eats, is clearly an Uber Eats issue. However, a completely missing dish from the order is down to the restaurant missing something.
It was disappointing because we had friends over and were very much looking to wind down after a very long week. It's disappointing that we had to scrounge up some food to make sure everyone at enough.
Now, to be fair, the food really is delicious, and if you're eating there, you can head off issues with missing dishes. But, if you're picking up, or ordering for delivery, check the delivery carefully.
EDIT: The restaurant has been very fast in replying to us, explaining that the barramundi did not appear on the order via Uber, and to order directly from the restaurant. We will do this in the future. To be fair to the restaurant, I have updated the review to read five stars, and will try ordering directly from...
Read moreHonestly, there's not much to say about this restaurant, only because of how extraordinary it is. I'll start with the seating. We arrived at around 7, and it was filled to the brim. One of the wait staff kindly organised the outside table for us, grabbing some extra chairs and one more table. Brilliant customer service, he came back asking us how our food was and it added to the overall vibe and feel of this restaurant. The waiting and food delivery timings were comfortable, with everybody at our table happy with the wait times.
The food was above what you'd expect out of the average Thai restaurant. The Pad Thai had plenty of texture and flavours, and I could taste the purple onion through it; something not many Thai restaurants could do. The fried rice, chicken, fish and prawns were beautifully done, nothing else to say about it. Overall, the food was brilliant.
Sukkho Thai Restaurant was a brilliant concluding experience which tied off the end of our Thirroul holiday. Everybody enjoyed their meals. Will definitely...
Read moreI ordered a delivery order tonight which stated it would be arriving between 35 to 55 minutes. After an hour went by, we hadn’t received our order. I called Sukkho. Their response was that it should have told us it was between an hour to an hour and half wait. I was then brushed off with the excuse of how busy it was due to a show occurring. I was told it was going to be another half an hour. Another half an hour had passed and we still hadn’t received anything. I’m highly disappointed in Sukkho tonight. It is respectful to call orders to let them know their food is extremely delayed. Just because you have ordered for it to be delivered at home, should our order not be in the same cue as those who are in the restaurant as we are all paying the...
