Buck Hamblin — Restaurant in Wollongong City Council

Buck Hamblin is a lovely little cafe with nice staff and setting. Service was fast and we had some great iced coffees (including delicious cold brew and they have bonsoy 🥳) as well as the rosti and banana pancakes. Both were pretty yum, the rosti eggs were perfectly cooked but the bacon was a little floppy and oily, and in the pancakes you couldn't really taste the banana and it felt like they had been pre-made and just heated before serving (not the best). We will come back to try some other things...

This has been the best coffee we’ve tried in Australia! We were very looking forward to a cup of coffee that had more flavors. They do batch brew and I’m glad we ordered bottomless, i.e. free refill. The breakfast was also delicious. We tried the sourdough bread with poached eggs, cherry tomatoes and delicious pesto! My absolute favourite cafe! Great coffee, superb toasties, funky tunes, amazing staff who are always up for a yarn and a laugh! Cool with being the only contact on your phone and don’t mind you renting a seat from open to close for as little as $3. Make sure you exploit the batch brew free taster and try and reach the bottom of the bottomless cup. They only have one set back... No signature t-shirt! If they had one I’d never take it off!
