Night manager with red in her hair, cannot hold a conversation with a customer and answer simple questions. She will hang up the phone and then scream at you to "get out of the drive thru!" over and over again instead of explaining what's actually gone wrong.
Zero conflict resolution skills, I didn't raise my voice or swear and she still ran as fast as she could from the conversation. I was just trying to understand and she was yelling at me at 1.45am, she then proceeded to call the police instead of simply answering the question.
If my question was answered, I would have appreciated the information and moved along but this "manager" showed that she is absolutely not cut out of the responsibility of dealing with customer queries, let alone complaints. She desperately needs to be retrained and sent back to the front counter alongside the newbies as they get trained. I've never been spoken to like that from a McDonalds staff member in my entire life of visiting the restaurant and I never witnessed that manner from any staff member, toward any person, let alone a customer- I have video footage of the incident which I am happy to reduce in size to send to Head Office. I will be taking this further, the way she yelled at me was simply unacceptable and I didn't even swear or raise my voice- I hate to think what she would say to a customer who was irate and belligerent, or if she would yell at them like she did me. She is very lucky I am a not a person who would physically react to such a threat, many other customers would have hurt her badly, had she spoken to them the same way. It really was revolting.
At 1.49am on March 9th 2023, female with red in her hair. Male present with her instore did not say a word, nor attempt to assist the worker nor myself. I only saw him when I caught a glipse of them on the phone, calling the police instead of answering a simple question about what happened to the order, which I proceeded to go and purchase from Beldon instead since Woodvale manager could not answer a simple question nor finish a conversation before deciding she was done speaking and would not accept any questions. The gentleman on shift at BELDON at 2am of the same night- he was wonderful and made sure I got what I needed.
Red haired individual would not tell me her name, so that I could include it in this complaint, but I will be taking this further and complaining in an official manner. It should be easy enough for Head Office to discover the name of the female manager on shift at 1.45am on March 9th 2023 at Woodvale, WA store. Please retrain her in customer relations and conflict resolution. She should not be in management if she is unable to hold on civil conversation with a customer querying what's happened with their order. That is the most basic manager skill that she was 100% incapable of.
I thought maybe she was having a bad night, but these other comments say similar things about a manager working at a similar time so it could be worth investigating what is going on with this night shift manager. One day she will speak like that to the wrong person and she will regret it. That person wasn't me, but she was so rude that someone will hurt her. Please retrain her, for her own safety. Read moreI am writing to formally express my deep disappointment and frustration regarding an incident that took place at woodvale McDonald’s. During my visit, I was served by an employee named Sam, whose behavior was not only highly unprofessional but also deeply offensive and unacceptable.
Sam directed homophobic and racial slurs toward me, creating an extremely hostile and distressing environment. In addition to this inappropriate conduct, my order was deliberately mishandled—I was given a small meal despite having ordered and paid for a large one. These actions were not only discriminatory but also indicative of extremely poor customer service.
I find this behavior to be completely unacceptable, and I strongly urge McDonald’s management to take immediate action against this employee. No customer should ever have to experience such degrading treatment at any establishment, especially one that serves the public. The lack of professionalism and respect displayed in this situation is truly appalling.
I believe it is the responsibility of management to address and rectify this matter promptly. I request a formal response outlining what actions will be taken to ensure that this type of behavior is not tolerated. If no corrective measures are implemented, I will have no choice but to escalate this matter further, including seeking legal action.
This experience has left me feeling extremely hurt, disappointed, and unwelcome. As a result, I will no longer be returning to this location and will be taking my business elsewhere. I sincerely hope that McDonald’s values inclusivity and customer respect enough to handle this situation...
Read moreHave been satisfied prior to this experience and have been a regular at this branch for some time now. Not fussed about food quality or presentation as it is fast food after all. I’m not a fussy person but was put off mainly by customer service from the manager this evening.
I had placed an online order via app to pickup at the drive thru. Collected the food and drove home only to find 1 out of 3 burgers in the order was missing. Promptly contacted the branch and the manager Aleeya answered. Told me to come back in for one tonight or another day. I went back in tonight 06/07/24 as i had nothing else to eat hence this was my dinner. The other burgers were for 2 other people.
So i drove back there this cold and rainy night. When i arrived she attended to me but was very dismissive. Did not wish to hear my complaint nor care that i had to drive back out 20 mins turnaround in bad weather just because they made a mistake. Handed me the burger and wanted me to move on. No apologies nor compensation in any way to make a customer feel valued. Just the opposite. Clearly inexperienced and needs more training. You can do better Aleeya.
I may keep ordering from them as it’s between home and work but i will check thru the order properly on collection as i do not trust them to get it right anymore...
