Wishbone Eatery Yamba — Restaurant in Yamba

I think it is great that people are having a go to open a business in a small town, and I fully acknowledge that would be difficult. That being said, we have supported and given this business multiple chances the last 6 months. The place lacks atmosphere and looks like it could do with a deep clean, not only on the customer side of things, but the meat all over the floor as well as out the back in the car park around the bin is disgusting. I have raised concerns about the size of the fried chicken before, and the girl just looked at me blankly and did nothing. For $5 (yes $5!!) You get the tiniest little piece of fried chicken! Barely more than a couple of bites. The quality of it over the last 6 months has also significantly gone down hill. What we paid for 2 small wraps with no chips, one cheeseburger meal and 3 tiny pieces of chicken was $68!!! Astronomically overpriced for the price and the quality of food that we received. We have said multiple times since it was taken over that we won't be returning, however have returned multiple times to support a newly taken over small business in a small town. Until we hear they have picked up their act, we definitely will not be returning...

Ordered loaded fries picked up order at home realised we only got normal fries. Looked at online menu. Price we paid added up to price for loaded fries so called and was told I could pick up loaded fries in ten minutes. Presented to pick up order was told I owed $5 more. I told owner according to online menu (literally the only and first menu that comes up) I had paid enough. Was then told the online menu was old. I did not have any money on me I asked how we resolve this was told (even though the loaded fries had been cooked and were ready to pick up) (and despite the fact that th owner had not bothered to update menu online to reflect current prices "more than a year old" so she had had ample time to correct this false advertising) that I could not take the loaded fries that we had ordered. Really poor business operation in all fronts. She had already made fries it was only $5 and her advising was the thing at fault we are locals too....

Have tried to call on 4 separate days and have never answered. I prefer to call, so you dont have to wait for your meal the whole time. Don't know why, but I thought I'd try one last time today. And its rung out again, even though it rings for ages. Gave it 10mins and got about 3 rings, and it hung up (im assuring they did it). Pretty disappointing. Was just keen to try it out and a mobile number is displayed on google and all social media's, but they clearly mustn't want business that's over the phone.
