As locals who have been to Caperberry more times than we can count, and also people who are never quick to complain especially about local businesses, yesterday morning was strike 4 unfortunately. We ordered at 9:15am and were told it would be a half hour wait. Not at all a problem we were happy to wait, Sundays are busy! But over an hour passed as we watched other people who had arrived after us food come, eat and go. Thought we’d double check our order was all good and was told it would be out shortly. Another 15 minutes later it finally arrived and was STONE cold, and missing a hash brown from one meal and a poached egg from another. The 3 poached eggs were rock hard and cold. They also didnt come with sourdough toast as the menu says, just 1 piece of white bread. When we went back to inform them they’d forgotten items they clearly weren’t happy about it, but not our fault. They then brought out the other poached egg and hash brown, and again the “fresh” poached egg was stone cold, clearly had been sitting for a while. When you’re paying good money for food, you expect good food. Really unimpressed for the 4th time now so won’t be back or recommending to...
Read moreWe visited Caperberry for Saturday morning breakfast arriving just after 8am, we had an abundance of parking spots to choose from, a few tables were seated but I wouldn't say it was by any means busy, as there was 6-7 tables to choose to sit at, in the outdoor area.
We ordered 1x bacon and egg roll, 1x Breakfast Wrap 2x hashbrowns and a mango smoothie. At time of order we were told there was a 20min wait.. surprising given it wasn't exactly busy.. but anyway.
Smoothie came out relatively quickly, Bacon and egg roll came out just over 30mins later, and the wrap.. we had to go in and ask where it was.. this arrived close to 10mins after the Bacon and Egg Roll, and missing the hashbrown which we had to again go in and follow up.
Overall, the food was okay. Service average, staff seemed more interested in what games of throne song the violinist across the road was playing next rather than focusing on getting orders out quickly...
Read moreFirst time there, nice little place. Ordered some burgers. Was feeling pretty decent about it until the chef caught my eye in the kitchen, she was preparing everyone's food with her bare hands, going from one thing to the other without washing her hands ( not cross contamination at all). You'd think she'd have some common decency and at least wear gloves, especially since there is a global pandemic. I was getting quite concerned about our burgers, and how clean her hands were when making them. Again, there she was putting most of the ingredients on our burgers bare handed, probably without washing them first considering how I saw her preparing food beforehand. Our burgers were good and we still ate them but I was still quite uncomfortable with what I witnessed, the other girl in the kitchen had enough respect to wear gloves however. She should have been the one preparing the food while the chef gave her hands...
