😞 Bad Service & Really Disrespectful Experience
What should have been a simple, happy stop turned into a very upsetting experience.
We had bought pies earlier (too busy to get seats there) and stopped here as planned to try their ice cream. There were empty tables outside, and after checking with a staff member, we sat down, ordered, and started enjoying both.
Then, out of nowhere, another staff member suddenly came over after we’d eaten maybe 20% and said: “You can’t eat food not provided by us, it could cause contamination.”
No sign. No notice. No reminder beforehand — even though several staff had walked past without saying anything.
Completely confused, we still apologized and explained we’d clean up and were only finishing what was already opened and shared. But she soon came back, raised her voice, and kept repeating that we couldn’t eat there. We felt watched, embarrassed, and rushed to finish the coffee and ice cream (all the while under her constant watch, which may have started the moment we sat down), wrapped everything in our own tissues, and left with a very bad feeling.
