Jules Shoppe — Restaurant in York

Dropped into York on my way back from Bruce Rock to Perth. Thought I would drive into the town as haven’t been to York in 25 years or so. Had trouble finding anything open. Jule’s Cafe & the Bakery were the only two places I could find. Which was disappointing. Desperately needed a coffee so called into Jule’s as it looked nice. The coffee was good, made extra hot (as requested) and nice flavour. Was disappointed the cakes, Muffins etc. we’re not made in house, but bought in. But was nice enough. Due to COVID-19, there a no chairs or tables inside or out. Would have been nice for them to set up, say two sets of Table’s & chairs outside (where I was asked to wait, while they made my coffee), appropriately distanced, or at least a couple of chairs. I have a very sore back and was tired, so would have been nice to be able to sit down...

We had a yummy Tuesday lunch here while taking a drive from Perth to York and surrounds. We felt there wasn't a lot to choose from in town and originally thought to eat at another place with outside seating. With no GF options available there we were then pleasantly surprised that Jules Cafe had a great menu with freshly made lunch items with GF options. They kindly offered the menu can be altered to include GF wraps or bread. We had a BLT with GF toasted bread. Delicious 😋 with wonderful service. With no table and chair options we assume this was due to Covid and were happy to eat at the local park. Looking forward to trying the GF orange almond cake and GF chocolate Brownie on our drive home. As newly diagnosed Celiac's this was a fantastic experience. Well...

We came on an early cold morning to York And we found this gem 💎

The atmosphere was very nice, and guarded by an sir 🐈‍⬛

The staff were super friendly and we ordered 5 of their falafel wraps for a decent price The food came out relatively quickly

And it was 😍😫

The tabooleh was absolutely delicious and gave the wrap a nice zest The falafel was crunchy, fresh and well flavoured

The sauce, tahini and garlic, was an absolute pleasure to eat

Overall a great place to visit when coming around York
