KOMBU Japanese Fusion Eatery — Restaurant in Anif

Food is very qualitative and restaurant is nice but unfortunately we have been quite disappointed with the service, especially with the gentleman who was checking the table booking when we get in. We did book a table at 7:00 pm and showed up at 7:00 pm but restaurant noted 5:45pm. I guess confusion can happen but it was not necessary to show me your watch to notice me it was not 5:45pm…I still know how to read time and did not consider I made any mistake here. In any case even if confusion would have come from my side I would encourage the staff to show more professionalism. Not the best way to welcome client and I understand why the rating on google about the service...

Food was good but the service was very, very poor!. We got our water halfway through our starters, when we asked a member of staff he rudely told us he was not our waiter, we waited another 10 mins for water. They even forgot our mains! We waited over 30 mins after we finished our starters to get our mains. The waiter came and asked if we wanted coffee/dessert, he was shocked when we informed him we were still waiting on our mains! In the end our bill never came so we had to go pay In reception.

I visited again yesterday, having been here on previous occasions. The location is undeniably outstanding, offering the most spectacular view of the Untersberg—truly unmatched. While the setting is remarkable, the food remains average and unremarkable. The interior design feels overly elaborate and tends to distract rather than enhance the dining experience.
