SISI Cafe-Bistro-Bar — Restaurant in Bad Gastein

I am sorry that the lowest grade is 1. Because this cafe deserves big zero!!

We are coming to Bad Gastein on a vacation for more then 20 years and never had such a rude and unpleasent experience.

We entered the empty cafe, there was this bald guy sitting at the bar eating his soup. Not even a "hello", "good day" or something. Anyway we had a stroller with a sleeping baby in it. After we decide where to sit he jumped from his chair starting screaming at us that we cannot come to the cafe with the stroller, that we have to leave the stroller outside. I told him but there is a baby sleeping in the stroller and outside is a cold wind and rainy .. he said I don't care I won't clean the cafe only because of you!!

Of course that we just leave the cafe. I am sorry to say but I believe that we won't be the guests of the Cafe Sisi anymore. So, if you are with a children, not mention a stroller just...

Don't spend your money on food in this place.

Both the atmosphere and the service in the place were far from great, only the young waiter were kind to us. The owner seemed bothered and annoyed that he had to take orders from us.

The food itself were inadequate, the pizza was undercooked/raw and very obviously frozen before cooking them, and the Austrian flamecake was just plain boring and not great or traditional at all.

I would recommend everyone seeing this to NOT spend your money in here, go do it somewhere they actually try to be nice and put in the effort of cooking good...

am anfang war ausgezeichnete, heisse schokolade mit schlagobers und baileys ... auf die frage an den wirt, wieviel baileys drinnen sind, sagte er 3 cl oder ähnlich viel und schenkte mir direkt aus der flasche nach... okay, mehr macht die heisse schokolade auch nicht besser... nur alkoholreicher... wieder was gelernt. ... dann sind wir auf bier umgestiegen... als der wirt sich auf unsere einladung zu uns setzte, bestellt er für sich ein pinot grigio... okay, was der wirt drinkt, drink ich auch... ein wirt weiss wo die besten trauben wachsen... der wein war hervorragend.. irgendwann stellte irgendwer die frage, verlassen wir das lokal um etwas zu essen oder essen wir hier etwas... die speisekarte interessierte uns nicht, ist nur was für anfänger ... vielleicht hat der wirt was besonderes?.. "hast was für uns... was gutes, peter?" der wirt, der zeiner peter, ein gasteiner original, schaut uns kurz an, taucht ab, verschwindet in die küche und taucht 10 minuten später wieder auf... ... und bringt eine metallpfanne mit gasteiner rind- und wurstschmankerln, dazu senf, noch eine pfanne mit gerösteten, flach geschnittenen erdäpfeln und getoastetem weissbrot in öl! was soll ich sagen, ich geh in ein restaurant nicht um zu essen, sondern um sensationen zu erleben... das war einfach sensationell!!! ... das essen war kompromisslos schlicht, einfach und deswegen eine gaumenfreude der sonderklasse.... das bratöl hab ich mit dem weissbrot ausgetunkt ... nur nicht´s überlassen war die devise.
