I recently dined at Knusperhäuschen, a welcoming Austrian inn tucked into Graz’s Straßgang district. The ambiance hits just the right notes—warm wood, stone accents, and floral curtains that evoke a loved-for local favorite. I began with a creamy Frittatensuppe (pancake strip soup), followed by a golden Wiener Schnitzel paired with crisp fries—classic, comforting, and just the right balance of crisp and tender. Their daily special—Leberkäse with Rösterdäpfel—delivered a rustic punch of flavor that felt like home in every bite. Portion sizes were generous, and prices felt fair. Service was genuinely friendly and unhurried. The staff checked in thoughtfully without interrupting the cozy rhythm of the place. It was the kind of experience that makes you linger with a second coffee before leaving. Knusperhäuschen feels like a living postcard from Austrian tradition—wholesome, warm, and reliably good. It’s a great go-to if you want genuine, hearty comfort food in a homey setting. I’m already planning my return—next time for their Käsespätzle or a relaxed afternoon in that sunny garden. Let me know what Linz spot you'd like to explore next—or if you'd like a snapshot-style review of another Graz gem!

Large portions with affordable prices! I'd recommend booking a table in the dining part of the restaurant just to avoid being placed next to people who just dropped by for a drink and will smoke next to you while you eat. There's a spatious parking place outside the restaurant, a big plus for us! The service is fast and friendly too. The only thing I regret is being too full to try the dessert!

One of the best or probably the best restaurant in the whole western part of Graz. The atmosphere is intimate, a bit rustical in a very traditional and hospitable Austrian style. The staff is friendly and the food served is just fabulous. We had pork and chicken schnitzels, a mixed grill plate and a gipsy meatball menu, all delicious. I congratulate myself also for not missing the home made cakes, absolutely delicious, where genuine and highest quality ingredients could be clearly discerned. I wholeheartedly recommend this great...

Habe dort persönlich mein Anliegen (Anregung - Beschwerde ) eingebracht! Unfreundliche Bedienung!
