Deck 47 — Restaurant in Innsbruck

I once loved this restaurant and I would go there around twice a month but today was one of the worst experiences I have had in a restaurant. First of all we waited an hour after ordering before our waiter realised we still didn’t have our food he very apologetically explained that our order got lost. When our starter arrived which was the beef tartar we then had to ask for cutlery, 5 minutes later still no cutlery so I went and found a waiter and explained we have already waited an hour for our food can you please hurry up with our cutlery. All of a sudden a big middle aged woman comes marching over and yells at our table that we only waited a few minutes for our food. She obviously wasn’t informed that they lost our order. I have never be talked to so rudely by a server in my life. The tables around us were looking at us in amazement of the situation. All we could do is laugh at the situation. On top of that situation our beef tar tar was rushed out of the kitchen and they forgot to season the meat so it was basically just a plate of raw beef with no flavour. Our waiter was apologetic and offered us free coffee and desert but I told him I dont want free anything I want an apology from the big middle aged waitress. This apology never came. This waitress should not be allowed in customer service and if I was management I would be worried having someone like...

I took my mother who is visiting from America and my two kids to enjoy a nice lunch, by the lake. To begin with, the waitress wasn't very friendly (not unusual for Austria so wasn't bothered by that) We ordered drinks and food very quickly, a salad two soups and a pizza. After 40 min, and multiple pizzas passed by us, steaks, and other tables being served that arrived after us....I asked the waitress to check and she said it would be a little longer and there was nothing she could do or offer us. I had to speak with someone else, who was kind and apologized and said it was because the pizza was freshly made, and offered us coffee and ice cream. That was nice gesture, but 2 hungry kids, 1 hour of waiting for mediocre food and a snobby environment, it was not worth it. Maybe if you don't have kids and have time to sit and socialize it's an ok place, but for my family it was an awful...

Enttäuschendes Erlebnis mit dem Personal

Ich bin zwar kein Stammgast im klassischen Sinne, aber meine Lebensgefährtin und ich besuchen das Deck 47 regelmäßig – etwa ein- bis zweimal im Monat. Bislang waren wir mit dem Essen immer sehr zufrieden und haben das Lokal gerne weiterempfohlen.

Was wir jedoch am 15. Juni 2025 gegen 16 Uhr erleben mussten, war schlichtweg enttäuschend und unprofessionell. Das Lokal war gut besucht, also warteten wir – wie es sich gehört – höflich im Eingangsbereich, bis uns ein Kellner einen Tisch zuweist. Leider wurden wir rund fünf Minuten lang vollständig ignoriert, mehrere Kellner gingen einfach an uns vorbei, ohne uns eines Blickes zu würdigen.

Als sich schließlich ein Kellner „erbarmte“, uns anzusprechen, fragte er lediglich: „Bekommt ihr schon etwas?“ – auf unsere verneinende Antwort hin, ohne weitere Nachfrage, ohne Begrüßung, ohne jegliches Bemühen, deutete er uns mit einem herablassenden Grinsen und einer abwinkenden Geste zur Tür.

Meine höfliche Nachfrage, was das denn bedeuten solle, wurde mit einem knappen: „Wenn ihr nichts konsumiert, müsst ihr das Lokal verlassen“ beantwortet – wohlgemerkt ohne dass wir bis zu diesem Zeitpunkt überhaupt die Gelegenheit gehabt hätten, etwas zu bestellen. Unsere Bitte, auf einen Tisch warten zu dürfen, wurde erneut mit einem arroganten Grinsen und dem knappen Hinweis abgewimmelt, dass „heute bestimmt kein Tisch mehr frei wird“ – und der Kellner verschwand.

Ich habe Verständnis für Regeln, aber nicht für ein Verhalten, das Kunden von oben herab und ohne jeglichen Respekt behandelt. Diese Erfahrung hat mir den Appetit auf zukünftige Besuche...
