Gasthaus Bretterkeller — Restaurant in Innsbruck

If you want to experience the traditional Austrian food, you can't miss this place.

When we first enter the restaurant, you can barely feel that this is a local place with neibourghood feeling. The old people next to your table talked in Austrian German and they are so friendly. The atmosphere is amazing.

In terms of the food, it is so tasty. Especially the traditional Schnitzel, the meat is so soft and you can feel the home made. The service is also good. The waitress is so well organized and all tables are taking care by her in a good manner.

I can't recommended anymore. If you are in town and looking for traditional food, thus would be a good choice.

Wonderful place with big portions and excellent service. We dropped by this place when we were travelling through Austria with my girlfriend. It is a little bit outside the city so you need a car. It was full with locals and the waitresses were dressed with traditional clothes. We ordered Wiener schnitzel and I was very hungry. The service was very fast and huge. It was probably the largest portion I have ever seen. Moreover, it was excellent quality. 3 big schnitzels on top of a lot of fries, all crispy and freshly cooked. Amazing price quality ratio! Bellissima scoperta nei pressi di Innsbruck! Ci siamo fermati in questo ristorante con mia moglie sia all'andata che al ritorno di un viaggio in Tirolo. Si trova in zona stadio Tivoli e vicino all'imbocco dell'autostrada, comodo per una sosta. Purtroppo non ci sono tantissimi parcheggi, ma si può tranquillamente lasciare l'auto sui bordi della stradina che arriva al ristorante. Locale tipico con tavoli sia al chiuso che all'aperto. Bel panorama sulla città apprezzabile sia da dentro il locale che fuori. Personale molto gentile, prezzi bassi rispetto alla media austriaca e porzioni abbondanti. Entrambe le volte abbiamo preso la famosa cotoletta di maiale con contorno di patatine fritte. Il consiglio è di dividere in 2 una porzione perchè portano 3 cotolette di dimensioni medie servite su un abbondante letto di patatine fritte. La prima volta ci hanno anche portato una buona zuppa d'aglio (molto delicata, non ci si faccia ingannare) perchè essendo giovedì era compresa gratuitamente nel menu. Per tutto ciò con una birra piccola e un caffè espresso non sono arrivato a pagare neanche 20 €. L'unica pecca è che i servizi igienici si trovano fuori dal ristorante e non sono riscaldati, ma è un dettaglio che dopo tutto si può dimenticare. Ci tornerò...
