CENTRO cafe bar restaurant — Restaurant in Kitzbühel

Visited for lunch after landing in Kitzbuhel on Saturday at around 12 noon, and starving. We were told a table was ready and to follow it round. However when we sat there it didn’t seem to be ok and the waiting made a hand gesture at us. Which let me add is understandable in every language. I’d say 4/5 tables around us were all completely shocked at the waiter. To make matters worse he then spoke to another waiter who did that action too. We left immediately becUse it was completely unprofessional infront of a 6 year old child…who you can imagine wanted to know what was going on. When we questioned why the waiter did that he didn’t realise there was 6 of us! Had they of asked to look at our COVID-19 passes they would of known the size of our party instead of guessing. How disgraceful. Anyway the response from the waiter was they had been there for 15 years and knew how to run a business. My advice to you would be to go here if you want to be sworn at, unsafe without any COVID-19 measures and a disgusting start to a holiday. No apology was given so I’m sorry 0 stars for you guys even though you sadly have to put 1 star. What a let down to the rest of Kitzbuhel. However we have some lovely recommendations if...

5* I LOVE CENTRO! 5* I have been luckily enough to visit Kitzbuhel since I was a baby and this is one of the MUST visit places! The manager, Istvan, and his team do a fantastic job of serving really tasty food at a reasonable price! Istvan greets us like family and is always very accommodating! All the staff are very attentive and work super hard even when they are busy.

Ask the waiters for their recommendations on food and wine and you really can’t go wrong! But I love the calamari and the shrimp in particular and you can’t go wrong with their pizzas!

The restaurant is usually very busy (which shows how great it is) so the atmosphere is buzzing and it’s one of the few places in Kitzbuhel that you don’t need to reserve a table, so although the wait may be long you will eventually get a table and get some fantastic food with a great service. There is a small bar area to sit at whilst you wait too.

I just want to say a massive thank you to Istvan and the team, as we have been in numerous times this season and as always we have had a great meal every time! We can’t wait to see you...

A needy shameless waiter tries to trick you into taking your money. It's quite a shame that they leave unhappy customers for a few cents. If I were the owner I would not have employees like him. We tried to pay a 15 euro bill by card, to which the waiter replied that it wasn't possible because the minimum was 30. We were surprised in such a touristy place. I doubt very much that they really had a minimum, but ok, we did not complain. After going to the ATM, we pay with a 20 euro note and he tell us that he can't give us the full change because he doesn’t have enough coins. Excuse me? You make me go look for an ATM, pay in cash, and then try to force a tip using that excuse. What a shameless guy. In the end it turns out that he did have coins, of course he had. It was enough for me to ask him again at the bar in front of other customers and colleagues for him to be embarrassed. Of course it wasn't about the cents but about being treated like a fool who...
