Kaffee Campus Krems — Restaurant in Krems an der Donau

Edit April 25: After my friends convinced me to give the café another chance, this visit wad unfortunately not better. Quite the opposite.

January 2025: Unfortunately, my visit to this café was very disappointing. The coffee (from the second grinder) was very poorly prepared and extremely burnt. It's a shame because friends recommended it highly to me. The staff (dark long hair and glasses) was very horrible and rude. She just seemed dissatisfied. The oven to bake bread in the middle of the café was an additional annoyance. The atmosphere was more reminiscent of a factory than a cozy coffee shop. I can't understand the many positive reviews...

Great coffee and pastry but this place should consider teaching their staff the basics. We ordered a V60 and their staff was very rude when they asked again what we just ordered because they didn’t understand. At first we thought they did not understand what we said verbally but after repeating they asked again “Wos wüst?” Which is not the nicest thing to say to a customer. Then they finally understood and had to get somebody else to make us coffee because they didn’t know what a V60 was. Maybe they weren’t into the job of being a Barista or had a bad day but it didn’t make us feel welcome there at all. Smiling helps...

Outstanding single origin espresso roasted to perfection at City++. This roastery and cafe is exceptional, like nothing I've found in all of Austria... and while they do appear to offer a Vienna roast, they also offer lighter roasts, which definitely brings out exceptional flavor notes. I love the Kaffee Campus...
