Mezcal — Restaurant in Krems an der Donau

The two overall ratings are based on a couple of factors. The service was in the best case "Ok. I have had better. It could have been simply because they were busy. I would hope that's the reason ... but have my doubts. The appetiser we had was chips with 4 sauces. This was excellent. But the main course I had (Enchilada Verde) was ..how can I describe it? Terrible. The Enchilada tortilla was corn and folded in half with cooked chicken and a salsa Verde sauce (which by the way I am sure was from the bottle and not fresh). The food was served less than lukewarm, more cold than warm. Needless to say for what we paid, I wasn't impressed. We ordered an espresso. Some of the coffee was on the cup running down so that if you picked it up you had the coffee more on you than in the cup. Nor water and nor small cookie which is a tradition in Austria. Great place for some classic Mexican dishes. I had the enchiladas with green sauce and my partner had the tacos al pastor. Now he wants to go to Mexico.
