This place….. I have been here a few times, gave them many chances, different days, hours, time of the year! But seems like good service is nowhere in their priority, must be their company culture, their mission statement, their brand? Their beer selection is one of the best in Linz with a bit for every taste, food is not bad at all to be honest. But oh the service leaves you with the worst after taste I ever had anywhere else in this city or this country for that matter. Managers as well as employees walk by you and don’t care about empty glasses, plates dirty tables… is unreal. You have to beg to give them money, like they don’t want it or you are just an inconvenience. Amongst themselves the service is great! While they ignore you. Summing up it is a very sexy massive bar but unwelcoming with a wall of glasses in front of you, bartender can’t talk to you (some actually do tho) and two chairs available. Great vibe, loud music on weekends, super nicely set up… great beer pretty good food and hands down the worst service from...

I don’t even know where to start. First of all, the service was awful. The staff said they didn’t have any tables to sit us when litterally half the restaurant was empty. We decided to call to reserve a table just to see if they had free tables and what a surprise they said they can service us immediately. We order some premium cuts and some side dishes but they were at best mid. I wouldn’t recommend those kinds of dishes in this restaurant. Furthermore, although the atmosphere was fine. We sat in stands something we didn’t like at all. I also have to say that the servers was not good. Most of the servers refused to speak in English and wanted to communicate in German. To summarise, when we decided to leave they told us that we couldn’t pay with cash while some signs at the walls said “we prefer cashless payments” and didn’t specify that we must pay but card. Very dissatisfied with the whole experience while the dishes were pricy. DO...

This is a large venue and where you are seated can negatively impact your experience. We were sat in a booth on the farside of the restaurant, and the servers were not the most attentive as they were less often near to us. Therefore I would strongly advise not sitting here if possible if the venue does ameliorate the inattentive severice. This meant ordering and replenishing drinks took a frustratingly long time. Furthermore, my order was incorrectly taken and the incorrect sides were delivered with my main course and I was charged for even though I raised a complaint with the server and the salad returned to the kitchen untouched. The main was an overcooked rib-eye steak which had been ordered medium. Follow Anthony Bourdain's advice and order your steak rare when eating here or even as steak tartar! At the end of my visit I felt generally dissatisfied with my experience at Glorious Bastards: inglorious would be a more...

I recently had dinner at Glorious Bastards on Promenade in Linz. Walking in, the space felt bold yet welcoming—with its industrial-chic interior, wood-fired oven glow, and buzzing open kitchen creating instant energy. I started with thin-crust wood-fired pizza—crispy, slightly charred, and loaded with gooey cheese. The burger followed: juicy, perfectly grilled, paired with golden fries. Their craft beers, brewed onsite, added lively flavor and matched both dishes beautifully. Service was laid-back and friendly: staff guided me through beers and kept the pace just right. It felt fun and casual with an edge. At its heart, Glorious Bastards is a vibrant mix of a pizzeria, grill, and brewery—simple, tasty, and full of character. I’ll be back for more pizza and local brews.

This is a nice restaurant where we always go with colleagues when we are in Linz. We mainly go there for the atmosphere, there is enough space at the large tables for larger groups. The food is tasty but not of high quality, it is all quite greasy. The service could also be better, wrong orders are regularly brought. (example: there are different types of beer but if you order different brands as a group, everyone ends up getting the same brand beer). Also with ordering food things sometimes go wrong and not everything that has been ordered is served. But we will probably go to this restaurant again next time, the atmosphere is very good and at the end you get what you expect in advance.
