I have really enjoyed going to this place throughout the years, but I am just puzzled that I can't seem to find their hours on their website. I looked high and low to no avail, and since it explicitly did say that they are open every day, I organized a small family get-together there for this Sunday at 5 p.m. Luckily I called to make a reservation and was told that they are not open Sunday for dinner! The person on the other line, Ms. Schneeberger, completely ignored my point about the fact that this info should be indicated on their website, given that's what a website is mainly for -- to provide information to customers. How annoying! Bad customer service indeed, and now I have to scramble to find another place. Don't get me wrong, the place is fun and the food is solid, but it just makes for a poor customer experience if you can't find the opening hours. After that was pointed out to the restaurant, you'd think they'd be happy to get that feedback and either point me to the right link on their site or remedy the error and add that info, but my comment was simply ignored and the response was: "We are not open for dinner on Sunday."Yikes! Read moreI recently visited Josef Restaurant and was, unfortunately, left with a disappointing experience. While the food was enjoyable, the service left much to be desired. Our waiter, Fanni, seemed overwhelmed and unable to provide the level of attention one would expect from a place of this caliber.
It was evident that the issue wasn’t solely on Fanni’s shoulders but rather a symptom of understaffing. She was left to manage an entire side section of the restaurant on her own, which is simply too much for one person in such a busy environment.
This lack of adequate staffing not only affects the customers’ experience but also seems to take a toll on the employees. I can’t help but think Fanni—and likely the rest of the team—would feel happier and more motivated if they had proper support.
Management needs to step up and hire more staff to ensure smoother operations and a better experience for everyone involved. The potential of this restaurant is clear, but without addressing these staffing issues, it risks losing customers and demoralizing its team.
I hope to see improvements soon because the atmosphere and food deserve service that matches...

The restaurant looks really nice! I really enjoyed it. The food tasted very good. Sadly the service was bad. At a location looking like this and prices so expensive, a customer should be satisfied, but the service was so bad, no one in our group of 12 people liked it. They forgot to serve drinks we ordered and even after complaining multiple times they still did not manage to serve the missing drinks. They put plates we didn't order on our table and before we even could tell that we didn't ordered this they already left the table. After we had the chance to complain, they took them an brought them to the table they initially belonged to (hygienic standards?) After we all finished eating and we all had a nice chat, half of our group decided to leave and go to sleep. And since our Employer (it was on a business trip) was one of those people: he payed the bill for everything consumed till now.
