Poor sense of service and non-existent friendliness! The hotel manager at the reception was very unsympathetic and grumpy. We already got a bad feeling when we checked in. On the hotel's website it was clearly stated that the hotel offers a discount on ski hire, but when we asked about it she just got annoyed and dismissive. No apology or understanding from her, instead she said it wasn't her problem. Talk about false marketing! In addition, the hotel claims that there will be Wi-Fi in the room. It didn't in ours. There was reception in the corridor outside the room and low reception in the bathroom, but no reception in the bedroom (where you want to use Wi-Fi). We tested with three different cell phones and an iPad without success. Instead of meeting us with understanding, she once again became angry and did not accept our complaint. Instead, she posted a reprimand on the outside of our hotel room door, claiming the Wi-Fi was working perfectly (which it obviously wasn't!). In addition to the grumpy woman at the reception, the kitchen staff at the breakfast buffet were also grumpy and checked like policemen that you wouldn't take a small sandwich from the buffet with you. We did this for our two kids who don't eat breakfast that early in the morning. On the second day we were scolded in front of the whole restaurant and accused us of being inattentive (although we explained that we had not seen the single information sign stating this). Incredibly rude and unprofessional behavior towards their own guests. The fact that they are then totally incomprehensible afterwards says something about their empathy. And the reception is left empty 95% of the time. Nah, really don't recommend this hotel!
Ok, so the hotel responded to my review. As you can see the hotel manager is simply the worst kind of service person as you can see in the way she answers. Once again, she turns angry and not taking the customer perspective into consideration. And she simply put up lies, e.g., the service person did not mention anything about the breakfast to me. Instead, that person acknowledged that it was difficult to get hold of staff at the reception. Also, I said that I would gladly pay for the sandwiches from the breakfast buffet, but that I also expected some kind of compensation in return due to the lack of Wi-fi and false ski rental marketing. Then it was the hotel manager who cancelled the breakfast invoice, and now she claims that I still have not paid for it! Unbelievable!!
So, to all of you that want to go to a hotel where the manager is grumpy, angry, almost never present at the reception, and do not take responsibility for their false advertising, then I...
Read moreVery disappointed with staying here for the first time. The customer service from the female manager and the staff in the dinner service for half board is atrocious to say the least. Everything is a hassle to them. I asked if my 22 month old could have something different to what was stated one particular night ( as most food that was served for adults was the same for the kids!! ) as it was linguine Turkey pasta and she said no and so I said well she won’t eat it and she said there’s a salad bar ( few lettuce leaves and cucumbers in a bowl ) or soup. SOUP she’s 22 months old I’ll let you try and give her soup!!!! Anyway In the end we managed to get chips out of her and that’s it. We had the same conversation a few days later as I and my partner don’t like salmon which was for the starter ( no other options it’s what you get basically ) which turned into an argument as she wouldn’t allow me to have anything different but in the end she finally backed down and said I don’t know what you’ll get but I’ll speak to the chef ( the owners husband may I add ) . Another particular morning I asked her if the cleaners had changed the bedding or just made the bed as my little girl was sick in the morning ( milk so smells ) and again unhelpful with her snappy remarks of ‘ I don’t know I’m not the cleaner you’ll have to wait and ask’ so I said thank you for being so helpful and walked away. ||Nobody is on reception at anytime so for an instance when we needed a taxi ordering we had to ask the waitress in the main restaurant who just gave us a card to ring ourselves. ||After speaking to numerous guests in the hotel of different ages, they all agreed with what I said and to sum it up all said the same of everything’s a hassle and the food is rubbish with no choice. ||The only positive I can say is the rooms are lovely, we had a suite on the top floor and I cannot fault it at all. Modern, and nice ( just needs new pillows ) cleaned to some extent everyday. ||Will I return -...
Read moreWorst hotel we have experienced in Austria!! We recommended Soll to our walking group to celebrate a friend’s 70th birthday and as we could only get 3 rooms in the Feldwebel, we booked this hotel at a substantially higher price than the previous 2 years. Worst decision EVER!! From the moment we arrived until we departed 7 days later we experienced rude, arrogant and unhelpful staff who showed their displeasure at having to serve you. We opted for half board which was a huge mistake. We were only allowed to eat in one restaurant which was soulless and lacked atmosphere. Only 2 staff (who were owners) reluctantly serving us and not one smile was cracked all week. A la carte served outside to non-residents was very expensive and there were more staff serving them than residents who were treated as 2nd class citizens despite we paid to stay in this hotel. ||The food was atrocious in terms of choice, quality and variety. Breakfast was extremely limited and a meagre amount of rolls were baked off at any one time. Only scrambled egg and bacon every morning and was not replenished when finished. Any request for food to be restocked was met with a frosty and abrupt refusal. Everything was a hassle to this family who clearly had no customer service skills whatsoever. If you are British - avoid this hotel at all costs!! ||We asked if evening meal was served every night and were told by Marcus (the owner) that we would have dinner each night as we were half board. We were then told on the 3rd morning that no food was available that evening and no apology from Marcus for incorrect information. ||The reception was not manned at all during our stay and had to search for someone to take our luggage to store on the last day. Location is good and rooms ok but that is all the recommendations this hotel deserves. ||Wine is extortionate and they charge 6.50 euros for a bottle of tap water too. Daylight robbery. ||Would never return to this hotel or...
