Animo by Aigner — Restaurant in Salzburg

The food was very good, but I have to say that I left fairly disappointed:

The manager imposed consuming more than what was ordered. We asked for only one bottle of sparkling water. He served all of it at the beginning and brought a new opened bottle (that we NEVER asked for) and left it at the center of the table. Just before paying the bill he realized we hadn't touched the water so he made sure to serve us even when I said no. Result: he is able to charge you 7.5 more euros even though you never wanted it. For me a restaurant mentioned in the Michelin guide should not resort to these types of tactics just to gain a few more euros. I've never had this happen before.

I ordered a "Daube du bœuf" pasta. I am french and the Daube du boeuf has meat.. my dish only had a foam/sauce where the meat is cooked. So I ended up paying over 30 euros for a pasta with peas and mushrooms. Don't use foreign references to dishes to make a dish sound fancy, and then leave the main component out of the dish.

Von außen macht das Prosecco nicht wirklich viel her: direkt an einer belebten Straßenkreuzung auf der einen Seite, ein sehr großer Parkplatz auf der anderen, südlichen Seite, ein größeres Wohnhaus auf der Nordseite. Bleibt noch die Ostseite. Die ist dafür sehr schön, eine begrünte Terrasse im Innenhof, bei schlechterem Wetter teilweise auch als Wintergarten nutzbar. Da sitzt man wirklich toll und gemütlich und ohne großen Verkehrslärm. Erwähnt sei aber auch, dass das Restaurant innen ebenfalls schön eingerichtet ist, nicht dass das anders rüberkommt… In den wenigsten Fällen geht man aber wegen der Einrichtung ins Restaurant, meist dürfte es doch das Essen sein. Und das ist hier wirklich sehr gut. Die Karte ist nicht sonderlich groß, oft passt es auf eine handgeschriebene Tafel, eine Seite für die Vor- und Hauptgerichte, eine Seite für die Nachspeisen, heute z. B. Kokos, Brombeere, Mandel und Tannenwipfel. Hörte sich sehr interessant an, ging aber leider nicht mehr da kein Platz mehr vorhanden war. Vorher gab es Vitello Tonnato und Risoni mit Meeresfrüchten bei meiner Frau, für mich gegrillte Babycalamaretti, eine Hummerschaumsuppe als Zwischengang und zum Schluß ein Ribeye mit Pfifferlingrisotto. Alles sehr gut gemacht, schön abgeschmeckt und keine ganz kleinen Portionen, so dass wie gesagt als Nachspeise nur mehr je eine Kugel Eis möglich war. Kleiner Wermutstropfen für mich: es gibt keinen Spezi, das dürfte aber für 99% der Menschheit kein Problem darstellen, deshalb bleibt es bei der...
