I am writing this review with great dismay regarding our stay at this hotel, which I consider absolutely unacceptable! Upon checking into a room that was apparently not cleaned from previous guests, we were greeted by a smell of dirt and chaos. Instead of taking responsibility for their inadequate service, the staff told us to go to the storage and get our own sheets. How is that possible?
Moreover, we were told to clean our own room because there were no housekeepers available at that time. We believe that with such a major oversight, someone from the staff should have taken care of it, regardless of who they were, because it is unacceptable for us to clean up after other guests. Why are we paying for a night then?
The next day, when we sought a resolution to the problem, the front desk staff behaved rudely and disinterestedly. Instead of sympathy and understanding, we were met with indifference, which only intensified our feelings of being ignored. After a long wait for the manager's opinion, a "compensation" was offered in the form of breakfast, dinner, and a 20% discount on the first night. The breakfast, which was indeed good, was served to us only for one day, after which we were forced to pay for it. What kind of compensation is that?
The promised 20% discount on the first night was never applied to our bill. When we inquired about it, the response was vague and unconvincing, leaving us with the feeling of being cheated.
After all these inconveniences, we feel compelled to file an official complaint against this hotel. This situation left a very negative impression on our stay in Salzburg. We are disappointed with the staff's attitude and the inadequate cleanliness of the hotel. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone! I hope future guests have a better experience, but we certainly will not return here.

Read moreThe location is hard to find. We finally found them and there was no place to park onsite, so they sent us to a parking garage saying it charged the same as onsite parking. We had to make three left hand turns and navigate construction signs to get there, then the parking elevator was not working (not the hotels fault). After lugging our luggage upstairs and back to the hotel we tried to tell the guy who sent us there that he should warn others to drop off their luggage before parking at that lot due to the elevator being out. He was rude and just kept saying that is not our fault. We were there three nights. On day two as we came in from a late lunch (about 5pm) my wife asked at the front desk for an additional towel as there was only two towels and no hand towels or washcloths in the room. They said they would bring them up. At 8 I went back down and reminded them. They finally showed up at 10PM. I was already in bed. The next day we ran out of TP and told the front desk on our way out to dinner. They said they would get someone to bring up a roll. That roll finally arrived at 21:50 after another reminder. Not real strong on service. And the parking lot they said to use, was 8 euros a night more expensive than they charge. Room was pretty basic shower was small. Coffee machine, water, tea and coffee (no creamer or milk), no fridge, The AC seemed to shut off in the middle of the night, as I got hot each night for about an hour no matter what I set the temp at. Breakfast was nice although expensive. Pillows were good, bed fairly comfortable. They cater to families so lot’s of kids...

The location of JUFA Hotel in Salzburg is just perfect — close to the center, yet tucked away in a peaceful green area that makes you feel like you’re on a retreat. You even get a beautiful view of the castle!
The hotel has a 24-hour bar and a cozy lounge area where you can enjoy your drink any time, even in the middle of the night — a rare and awesome perk.
The staff were all incredibly friendly, with a special shoutout to the amazing reception team. The rooms were not only beautiful but also spotless — super clean and well taken care of.
Honestly, this is one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed in, and I’ve traveled a lot and seen many. If I ever return to Salzburg, this is 100% where I’m staying again — no question about it.
Only one tiny suggestion: I wish the rooms came with slippers. It’s such a small, inexpensive thing, but in today’s travel culture, it’s really helpful, especially when we try to pack light.
Still, this is a full 5/5 for me — from the location and relaxing vibe to the breakfast, which was amazing with so many options. Definitely book with breakfast included — it’s a must!
Highly...
