Restaurant Atelier Fischer — Restaurant in Sankt Gilgen

For some reason as a customer i strongly believe that i have the right to know before asking for any product, service, etc how much it will cost. In a restaurant this means that i should be able to see ALL prices of all food/beverage or service costs before i ask for anything. Here this was not the case. The 3 of us ordered 3 main dishes. Neither before nor after the waiter offered a second plate for the pizza were we told that by accepting the offer we will be charged an extra 2,50 EURO which is corresponding to about a 20% surcharge on the pizza we shared. Since this was also not indicated on the menu which i carefully checked before leaving again, i consider this a fraud. Was it worth it? Well, you certainly earned this review by being greedy with your guests. When we were sharing plum dumplings at the famous Zauner in the close Bad Ischl promenade, the waiters didn't come to the idea of charging any extra money for extra plates. No wonder they have a high rating for a fair and quality service....

Be careful not to go to this restaurant, and if you go you should revise your receipt before paying ! They gave me 2 wrong receipts with added items, and when they saw that I kept noticing that finally they gave me the correct one ! What does that mean? When I expressed politely that I am annoyed from their unclear way, instead of saying “sorry “ the waiter said:” just pay and leave “! Perfecte plaats aan de Wolfgangszee. Uitzicht op het meer. Ga niet voor de "Eenvoudige kaart" met Pizza en pasta. De Alla Carte geeft je gerechten van bijzondere klasse. Werkelijk haute cuisine voor een zeer betaalbare prijs.....de opmaak en de verassende combinaties nodigen uit om vaker te komen. Wij hadden als voorgerecht de Beef Tartare, in een zeer apparte opmaak met een iets scherpe tomaten sauce, mooie scherpe olie als opmaak op het bord, nog nooit zo gegeten, top. Hoofdgerecht Rinderfilet Rossini met foie grass naast de filet, in die combinatie, zeer apparte smaak en zo komt het vlees zeer tot zijn recht. Mijn partner een medium rare Rinderfilet waarbij het altijd spannend is hoe hij uiteindelijk op tafel komt.....precies mooi rood en heel vakkundig lauw warm van binnen. Een kok die zijn vak verstaat.Het advies van de eigenaar over de bijpassende witte wijnen was top en en de uitleg over het gebied en de oorsprong was een opsteker. De dessert wijn en de uitleg wie wat waar zeer vakkundig. Geen slap verhaal maar goed onderbouwd waarom je na deze gerechten een Ramandolo zou moeten nemen als...
