Kirchenwirt Stadtalm — Restaurant in Sankt Johann im Pongau

The waitress did not understand us eventhough we spoke german. She did not bring the menu card and asked what we want but we did not know what they had. So we asked for menu... She ordered two menus from the kitchen and we did not know which menus..? So we cancelled and in the end we ordered from the menu. They did not have 2 out of 3 soups. It was understandable since we came after 8pm. Waitress could have know before and tell us what is not available anymore. She was not very polite. Therefore we did not tip her that much so she did not even greet us when leaving. Service was though very hostile. On the other hand, food was very good and fresh. First of all I must say, that I feel very sorry that I forgot to take pictures of the food, because even from the look of it it was apparent how tasty it is. We had Schnitzel, Spaetzle and other dishes and everything was super tasty. If you want to visit a restaurant that serves very good Austrian food, then look no further. This place doesn’t look like much and the lady working there looked tired - but oh man do they have good schnitzel. What a nice surprise!
