Cubo Sport & Art hotel is in central St Johann, just next to the railway and the railway station. Unfortunately there’s no road along the tracks so it’s still a 500 meters walk. (Still close!) It’s even closer (less than 400 meters) to the Harschbichlbahn lift, which is the main ski lift in the St Johann ski resort – so this hotel have an excellent location if you want to arrive by public transport to your ski holiday. (It says here om TripAdvisor that Cubo is a Ski-in/Ski-out-hotel – this is not true, you’ll have to walk between the slope and the hotel. If there is a lot of snow, you might be able to ski in…)||||When you stay in the hotel you also get a card for free public transport, free entrance to the swimming hall and several discounts.||||The hotel is modern and have a brand new feeling. Very attentive and friendly staff. We stayed in two different rooms. One big room with a double bed and one family room with a double bed and two bunk beds. There is a big room for skiis and boots next to the lobby with a shoe warmer to dry ski boots.||Comfortable beds, nice bath room, fre and fast Wi-Fi and non-smoking in the entire hotel. All rooms are built for wheel chair access.||||The roof top restaurant/bar, where also the breakfast is served is amazing. Lovely view, good food and excellent drinks.||||There is a small but very nice sauna and relax on the first floor.||||Breakfast is included and had what most need. Bread, cheese, ham, yoghurt, egg, a variety of fruit, coffee/tea. The staff in the restaurant is very attentive and friendly.||||Downside:||The room seem to lack ventilation. The sound insolation is very good – which is good since there is a road and a railway outside, but when you have to keep the window open to get some fresh air this...

Read moreWe stayed as a family of 4 for two nights. 2 adults and 2 children in a room with 2 cube/ bunks above each other.|Very fresh modern and clean and so easy to access the ski run!|The cube bunks were great. Each with a curtain, lamp, power/ charging unit, slippers, headset and TV. The room also featured many cupboards, hangers, hooks and a small table and chairs. A lovely shower and separate toilet and open area basin/ mirror. Ample towels provided. Beds a little firm, however extra pillows provided on request. The kids loved the cube bunks!!! All of us able to have some quiet time.|The room was not well ventilated, requiring the window to be opened which then allowed a fair bit of party noise off the street and train noise.|No kettle or bar fridge. |Perfect for a few days. Possibly a challenge in that room if you wanted to have space as a family to relax in the room.|The location was close enough to walk with our bags. But it was a bit of work with 2 kids and a lot of ski gear over a few intersections and less than accessible paths.|The Skylounge upstairs was lovely, with a wonderful view of the Ski run. Breakfast buffet (hot and cold) was also very adequate. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The dinner menu was not lengthy but enough for everyone for a few nights. |Overall great...
