One of the best restaurants to eat in St Johann without a doubt. The place is big and well decorated. The service is great and really caring. We dined here two nights in a row as there is a great variety of dishes from a wide range of cuisines.
Pizzas and vitello tonato are great, it's a great option to share as a starter. On the other hand, we didn't really like the nachos tex mex as they are very different from what we are used to, not very authentic. Burgers were amazing, we tried all three of them and they were delicious. You can taste that the quality of the ingredients, especially the meat is of high quality, if you like burgers in general it's a must. We also tried the pasta and risotto and it didn't disappoint. Another good option is the carpaccio. In terms of desserts I would highly recommend the apple strudel. The ice creams are quite big so be careful when ordering them.
In general terms it's a great place where everyone will have something good to choose from. Quality of the food is good and it has a nice ambiance. If you are in St Johann I recommend...
Read moreDuring our recent week's holiday in Sankt Johann, we ate at Villa Masianco on four nights, it was that good!
The restaurant is located just south of the level crossing and about 3 minutes from the centre of the town.
Dishes include pasta, steak, burgers and the pizzas are amazing. There is something for everyone including vegetarians. I had the pasta on one occasions which was mediocre, but the pizza's were excellent. I had the Diavolo and it was wonderful. There is a good variety of beers on the drinks menu, local wines also feature and are excellent.
We found the staff to be very helpful and polite and all speak some English which was helpful to us. Prices are reasonable and in line with those in the surrounding area. We spent between 38 and 53 euros for a meal for two on the occasions we ate there.
It is worth noting that some of the restaurants in Sankt Johann are closed on a Monday and a Tuesday. Villa Masianco is open but it is worth making a reservation to secure a table due to the lack of other options in the area.
I would highly recommend this...
Read moreNice ambiente, good variety of international food. However, almost all the pasta and risotto are cooked with cream, lots of it! Beware of asking for too much information about the dishes, the waitress can get annoyed. We have asked also if the kids could be served first, she took the orders and we waited for 20 mins before she remembered to come back for the adults. You get easily blamed if you don't ask things correctly, not certainly the way you would expect to be treated in an 'Italian' restaurant! The tiramisù is a block of cream with powder chocolate, nicely presented with fruits but could be more tasty. The carpaccio is so thin and you can finish it in three bites for 18€. Lots of potential, nice place, I hope the service could...
