Schnitzel-Bär Dornbirn — Restaurant in Stadt Dornbirn

We walked in around 9 p.m. staff didnt looked too friendly and exciting, tired perhaps? Ok it was a bit late already. But there open till 10 p.m.

Ordered a grillteller, house spies, union rings and a beilagen salat. The chef probably was tired also because all the Meat was terrible salty on both plates, the bacon was the least salty for your idea. Union rings were the best. The salat was a bit sour but i think thats with most of the german salats.

Meat was ok quality, but way too salty. Price was ok 38 euro's.

The amount was plentyfull but without good food the amount isnt important. You can make only 1 good apperance as a restaurant and this wasnt good for us.

When we left i talked to the chef. He made a apologize, no refund or a extra drink. Bye bye. I should have returned the food immediatly. But We ate some... ah hungry you know.

Nice restaurant, clean and fresh toilets but no attention to the food or maybe it was too late this evening for the staff. Such a Shame We wont come back. Maybe a different Cook Will give...

This is a place where you order and pay, then pick up your order when the device they give you alerts you that it's ready. There was plenty of parking. There were people in line to order, so we had time to look at the menu (you can see it online). The girl behind the counter spoke a little English and was extremely nice, lucky for me. I ordered a medium cordon Bleu (barentatzen) for €9.80. My son got the medium schnitzel and croquettes. The portion size met the price point. The taste was good but not amazing with no complaints. UPDATE: Nach einer weiteren kurzen und freiwilligen "Corona Pause" ist der Schnitzel Bär wieder offen in gewohnter Qualität und Freundlichkeit!!

UPDATE: Vor lauter Freude das die "Gastro-Blockade" wieder aufgehoben wurde, waren wir am Sa u. So gleich zweimal beim Schnitzelbär zu Besuch! Es war wie immer super lecker und durch die lange Pause auch doppelt so gut! Wir wünschen dem tapferen "Schnitzelbär- Kapitän" weiterhin viel Erfolg! Wir kommen garantiert wieder! Der Schnitzel-Bär in Dornbirn, Visavis der Talstation der Karrenseilbahn hat seit dem 01. Juli 2019 geöffnet. Zeit sich beim neuen Schnitzel-Bären etwas umzusehen.

Die Location ist wirklich Top, genügend Parkplätze, schöner Gastgartenbereich mit Terrasse. Die Einrichtung etwas wärmer und mehr in Holz gehalten als beim "Papa-Bären" in Hohenems.

Wir haben bei unserem Besuch verschiedene Gerichte probiert, alle waren sehr gut, besonders gefallen hat uns das "Bärenteller Menü" (Schnitzel mit Salat oder Pommes inkl. 0,3l Getränk um unter 10.-Euro), ein Angebot, das zahlreiche Gäste die aus beruflichen Gründen zum Mittagessen kommen, sicherlich auch zu schätzen wissen.

Das Personal war sichtlich bemüht, obwohl man merkte, dass sie noch in der "Einlernphase" sind.

Fazit: Der "neue Bär in der Familie" macht dem Unternehmen alle Ehre, über ein paar Kleinigkeiten hier und da, die noch zu den "Anfangswehen" gehören, darf man gerne hinwegsehen.

Das Angebot stimmt, die Qualität überzeugt!

Der Preis ist für ein Selbstservice Restaurant jedoch schon etwas an der Grenze, da auch schon andere gute Lokale in Dornbirn (im Tischservice) tolle Menüs inkl. Getränk um 10.- Euro anbieten.

Mich hat der Schnitzel-Bär überzeugt und ich komme gerne wieder, auf ein großes Schnitzel versteht sich!
