BioGreen (Green Indien Restaurant)- Indian Restaurant — Restaurant in Vienna

I travelled some distance, had to hop buses and trams to go this restaurant to try out the Indian food. It was well worth it!

On entering, it gave a `deserted dhaba in a highway' look. The waiter was playing with kid of the customer, and he was literally sitting with them at the table. I guess they were more of friends/very-regular customers. Upon seeing me come in, he started attending to me. The aroma from the kitchen inside felt good. I ordered a Veg Mix subzi (comes with rice) and a roti. He asked me about the spice level. I said, "Normal". He enquired "Indian (level of) spicy?". I again said "Normal". And upon tasting the food, I realized "normal" is the correct level of spiciness to go with even for Indians.

The food was excellent! The roti was soft and rich. The gravy was delicious, literally mouth-watering! I loved it so much that I ordered a Shahi paneer and a roti for take-away for my dinner. That was good, too!

Mainly focused on delivery/take-away, my friend and I had dinner at the rather small and basic restaurant. A bit sceptic due to the location and entrance, we were utterly surprised by the excellent and friendly service and the delicious food. This is what Indian food should taste like! The owner/waiter didn't mind to go the extra mile for our special requests concerning allergies and did it all with the biggest smile. Unfortunately I don't live in Vienna, otherwise I would be a regular guest here! Absolutely recommend and do think you should not only order your delivery/take-away, but should definitely experience the hospitality...

With a group of 8 people, today (09.13) we had dinner at BioGreen. Not only was the food amazing and probably the best indian meal I have eaten, but the hospitality and enthusiasm with which we were treated, is something I haven’t experienced in a very long time, if ever. I’m sorry for not knowing the name of the person who served us, but his humilty, motivation and the hard work he put into providing a great experience was more than inspirational, it was touching.
