Even when you visit Café Mayer for the first time, it feel welcomed like in your typical home café, and there is also a great breakfast here! A pretty good breakfast on top of that

There are various, classic breakfast combinations made up of pastries, jam, butter, cheese, ham and eggs. All kinds of egg dishes, different platters with sausage and cheese, muesli, yogurt and fruit salads can be ordered as a supplement or as a separate meal. Of course there is also the possibility of throwing together your own breakfast. Usually I don't really like it when the selection is so large, because it may indicate poor quality. But that's not the case here, because the ingredients were really all carefully selected and if you look very carefully, there aren't that many different ingredients, but rather many combinations.

This café is a true charm. We ordered the breakfast for 2 people which was not only an amazing price (9€ per person) for the amount but also for the quality. Four (!!) fresh rolls and the softest, fluffiest "Strietzel" I might have ever had. The breakfast came with enough cheese, ham, fresh vegetables, fresh spread, butter and marmalade for at least three people, and the eggs were perfect. We ordered croissants thinking we would have room to enjoy them at the end, but we ended up taking them home for an afternoon snack because we were so full! And if you order one thing there, CROISSANTS. They are fabulous, from Paris we were told, and in my opinion the best I have had outside of France. The owner is so attentive and sweet, we will definitely come...

Wonderful little bakery and cafe out in the 18th. Reached directly at the end station of the 40 tram. Diverse menu of breakfast classics, wonderful breads and pastries and a nice selection of fresh pressed juice. I had their house breakfast of breads, cheese, ham, marmalade and with orange juice.
