I ate many many kebaps in Vienna, Berlin, Istanbul and other places so I consider myself a kebap lover. To be honest, there is nothing super special about Ferhat Döner except the meat. One can definitely taste the high quality meat and I don't think that any other place in Vienna sells organic halal beef kebap. The "issue" is the lack of harmony of ingredients in this kebap. The sauce is mediocre, the dürüm is pretty thin and the bread of the sandwich has a too hard crust. When you bite into the kebap there is no "yummy effect". I tried it and I would probably eat it again when I would find myself in the area, but I would never wait in the queue again. I just don't get how places like this deserve to have a queue compared to Mustafa's Gemüsekebap for instance...it just isn't comparable and I guess the majority of the people waiting in the queue won't come ever again, just because of the queue. UPDATE: 12/2024 I had the medium size kebap sandwich (180g meat). The bread is much better than the flat bread jufka used for dürüm as it's very fluffy ans super fresh. I expect the bread to be very dense and result in a wrong filling-to-bread ratio, but that wasn't the case. One can taste the meat is super high quality and has nice beef taste, but very very bland with zero spices I guess. The meat is pretty dry as well, which ruins the experience. The sauce is a bland joghurt mixture with salt I gues, so not much taste at all. Since the place has now expanded a lot since I was there the last time I had to wait only 15min which was totally OK. But I confirm my first impression again. This is not thr classi kebap you know, but rather a nice Turkish sandwich with high quality meat that is unfortunately too dry. Another thing I noticed the highly advertised "organic" prefix for the meat has disappeared, so I guess it's not organic anymore...I don't know!? I definitely recommend the regular size with 120g meat for 5.9Eur, which is actually a good price for what you get. Conclusion: the friendly Turkish guy that I used to buy kebaps at Operngasse during my studies at TU Wien somehow create a huhe hype around something that isn't so special after all. My guess is the people still come here because it's famous and the meat is good, but there are at least 3 places I think the kebab is much tastier than here. Since the queue isn't that long I change my mind for not ever coming again because of the waiting time, but I probably won't come anyway.

A Gem for Kebap Lovers in Vienna Nestled near Keplerplatz U1 in Vienna's 1100 district, Ferhat Döner stands as a testament to authentic Kebap craftsmanship. The spacious venue, boasting four charcoal grills capable of handling massive skewers, immediately sets the tone for an exceptional culinary experience. What truly sets Ferhat apart is their dedication to the art of Kebap. Unlike many eateries that diversify their menu, Ferhat focuses solely on Kebap-related dishes. This singularity of purpose is not just a business strategy; it's a declaration of their belief in and commitment to their product. Their skewers are homemade, a rarity in the fast-food world, and it’s this attention to detail that, for me, positions Ferhat among the top, if not the best, Kebap spots in Vienna. The meat served here is succulent and grilled to perfection, a feat achieved through skillful use of their charcoal grills. The sides are of top quality, complementing the main dish without overshadowing it. Moreover, Ferhat's approach to sauces is refreshingly simple, focusing on the essence of Kebap rather than masking it under an array of condiments. Despite often having a queue, the service is consistently swift, a mark of their efficiency and customer care. Their homemade Ayran is the cherry on top – a refreshing drink that pairs perfectly with their dishes. Price-wise, Ferhat Döner hits the sweet spot for the quality offered. For anyone seeking an authentic Kebap experience in Vienna, Ferhat is a must-try. This is not just a recommendation; it's a testament to my repeated visits and the consistent quality they deliver. Ferhat Döner is more than a restaurant; it's a culinary journey worth experiencing time and again.

I will start with the answer to your most burning question. Is the stuff sold here worth the wait? Depending on the time of the day you can expect to spend anything from 15 to 50 minutes and more in the queue. So is this time well spent or not? In my opinion this is by far the best Döner in whole of Vienna and probably Austria. What you get here is a top product with amazing ingredients. The meat is locally sourced and 100% from Austria, the bread for the Döner is self made in their own small bakery, the Dürum flatbread is made in house over charcoal. Now for the star of this establishment. The meat: two large, juicy enchanting rotary towers of meaty glory grilled to perfection over charcoal. The meat is tender, still pink and comes close to prime steak. If you have the time or if you catch the queue during an off peak time hit this spot! You will encounter an amazing experience and will crave it henceforth. This places shows that Döner must not be a dish that is associated with drunk hungover food, dodgy joints with questionable quality. This place elevates Döner to an experience that is hard to replicate since attention to detail, ingredients and craftsmanship is simply superb. Hats off! And thanks for sharing this amazing experience with us Ferhat!

The quality of the food here is unparalleled. The döner kebabs are delicious, with perfectly seasoned meat and fresh ingredients. The 240g option might be a bit too much unless you’re super hungry, but it’s perfect for those with a big appetite. The portions are generous and well worth the price.

Staff and Service: 10/10

The staff at FERHAT DÖNER are incredibly polite and attentive. Their friendly demeanor and prompt service make the dining experience even more enjoyable. It's clear that customer satisfaction is a top priority here.

The cleanliness of the restaurant is commendable. The toilets are clean and well-maintained, which is always a plus. Additionally, FERHAT DÖNER offers a mesjid room for 1-2 persons for prayers, which is absolutely incredible. It’s rare to see a restaurant in Vienna provide such a thoughtful facility, making it a truly unique and accommodating place for everyone.
