Chefs Bistro — Restaurant in Vienna

Maybe it was a language barrier, but the whole dining experience left me very disappointed.

As soon as I sat down, the waiter came over and asked me to order right away. I politely said, “please wait,” as I was still reading the menu. About ten minutes later, I was ready and tried to get his attention with eye contact, but he kept ignoring me. Eventually, another waiter noticed and took my order instead.

When I was ready to pay, I took out my card and looked directly at him to signal I wanted the bill. He clearly saw me, but continued settling bills for four other tables and never came over. I waited at my table for at least ten minutes, making eye contact the whole time. Eventually, I stood up and went inside the restaurant to say I wanted to pay. But instead of helping me, he told me to go back to my seat, saying he would come over soon.

I also asked for a takeaway glove for my pizza. He said he would check and let me know, but never came back. I waited another 7–8 minutes and got no answer.

The entire experience made me feel ignored and unwelcome. I truly hope the restaurant reflects on how they treat every guest—with or without perfect communication—with basic respect...

this used yo be our favourite restaurant locally and we tend to come here 2-3 times every time we are in Vienna. Unfortunately it seems that this relationship has, sadly, come to an end.

We found some real Pasta in the glutenfree dish we had ordered. When we sent it back we were just told that it was cooked separately and it may have just been a bit of real pasta dropped from the colander. It's ok if you eat glutenfree as a choice, but when you are celiac, you cannot have any contamination. The chef was not impressed with us and we had to ask to have the dish removed from the bill even though we had sent it back.

Rather disappointing - you need to understand glutenfree needs properly or not offer them. This could have made one of...

A gem in the 10th. Fantastic visuals. Decor is great and chairs comfortable.

Service is very friendly, fast, attentive and very easy on the eyes! Both for the ladies and the gentlemen. Why even mention that? What can I say, it enhanced the experience :)

Ordered a tortellini with mushroom sauce and it was excellent! Ordered a side of pizza bread with garlic and oregano which was freshly served with the food - hot and crisp.

The 🍒 on top was the home-made tiramisu in a glass. Perfect!

So often I had "sloppy tiramisu" but this version for me was very good.
