Haru Restaurant — Restaurant in Vienna

Very good, modern style Japanese restaurant.

We started with the karaage and gyoza, which were pretty tasty and looked great.

The sushi was very well prepared, I really really liked the spicy tuna. It was properly spicy and nicely garnished. Their veggie roll was also very interesting with the mango sauce.

The yakisoba and popcorn chicken made for great sharing dishes.

The tartare was alright, but to their credit it's the only place in Vienna so far that accompanies it with the proper bread! A Japanese restaurant lol. How hard could this be?

The food was, in the end, very fresh and and the staff really nice and patient with kids. It's also well decorated and lends an aesthetic to the modern food theme.

Definitely will come back!

P.S. They felt the servings of sushi weren't big enough than usual, so they gave us a free set of 6 avocado makis. We didn't even complain! Great service.

Edit: Came back a few times since and love the tonkatsu...

The food was very salty, the tables were very sticky, we don’t know why but we have a assumption, we also saw how dirty all the glass panels were. A friend of ours told us the food is amazing but in reality it was disgusting. We were angry because we could of went to Berliner Babo which is amazing. My boyfriend and I are very annoyed, I hope this restaurant can make a W comeback into the market. Assumption: they … into all the sauces with a mixture...

Wir haben meinen heutigen Geburtstag dort gefeiert. Wir waren mehrere Personen und konnten uns so perfekt durch die Speisekarte durchprobieren. Ich muss sagen das essen ist vorzüglich! Das Sushi hat auf jeden Fall das gewisse Etwas. Alle Hauptgericht waren wirklich Top! Die Getränke waren auch mal was spezielles. Die Gyoza haben selbst gemacht geschmeckt. Die Misosuppe war super. Die Oktopusbällchen haben uns besonders gut geschmeckt. Von den Hauptgerichten war das Popcorn Chicken etwas ganz besonderes. Super knuspriges Hühnchen aber innen noch schön saftig. Das Bulgogi war auch eines der besten, welches ich in Wien je essen durfte. Schade fand ich, dass der Reis zu den Hauptgerichten etwas überkocht war, sprich etwas matschig und nicht wie ein Reis in einem asiatischen Lokal sein sollte. Konnte auch einfach ein schlechter Tag gewesen sein. Die einzige Ausnahme war der Burger 🍔 War leider nicht besonders, trotzdem nicht schlecht und hatte ein fertiges Burger Patty sowie Pommes aus der Kühltruhe. Lustiger Weise mussten wir auch auf den Burger am längsten warten. Also ich würde immer empfehlen in einem asiatischen Restaurant auch Landestypische Gerichte zu bestellen.
