Maka Ramen is an absolute gem in Vienna! This modern-style restaurant is a true feast for the senses. As soon as you step inside, you're greeted by captivating art from the talented Denise Rudolf Frank, setting the perfect ambiance for a delightful dining experience.

But it's not just the art that impresses; the team at Maka Ramen is beyond awesome! The staff exudes warmth and professionalism, making every visit feel like a special occasion. The bosslady and boss are truly WOW – their passion for creating a remarkable dining experience shines through in every aspect of the restaurant.

And let's not forget the star of the show – the food! Oh, the food at Maka Ramen is simply divine. The Japanese tapas are an absolute must-try. Each dish is a delectable explosion of flavors that leave your taste buds begging for more. Whether you're a ramen aficionado or new to the world of Japanese cuisine, Maka Ramen will undoubtedly delight your palate.

For my family, Maka Ramen has become a highlight in Vienna. We find ourselves drawn back time and time again, eager to savor the scrumptious dishes and soak in the welcoming atmosphere. If you're searching for a memorable dining experience that combines art, ambiance, a fantastic team, and outstanding food, Maka Ramen is the place to be! Trust me, you won't be...

Went there for my partner's birthday. We had the luck that the daily special ramen was the peanut butter broth ramen that he wanted to try. That one was well packed, the broth was delicious, rich, filling. I had the yuzu kosho tonkotsu ramen, which came with a spoon of yuzu kosho paste. It was a bit salty and a bit spicy so I added the entire spoon of it to my ramen. Unfortunately, it didn't help, the ramen felt kind of empty, I didn't taste much of a broth, just a lot of heavy cream, with cold vegetables in the soup, half a marinated egg and a slice of unseasoned, lightly charred pork belly. We had the homemade lemonade and yuzu mojito to drink, they were helping with thirst but not very tasty or interesting. Somehow after all the hype on their social media I felt like there would be more flavour in the food and drinks beside the peanut butter ramen. The servers were sweet, we tried to ask for some extra seasoning or soy sauce but she always turned her back to us so after 4 tries to ask for salt or soy sauce we gave up.

It was good to try, and I understand the hype around the peanut butter ramen, but everything else was below our expectations. In general, I give 4 stars cause I know it is hard to run a gastronomy business and maybe they were having a hard day in the kitchen...

We were very lucky last Saturday evening. Even tho we showed up 10 minutes after they opened that they it was already packed but we were still able to get a table even tho we did not reserve one beforehand. They even got some more tables from the back to seat another pair of customers. The staff generally was very caring and friendly and did everything so we felt comfortable. The atmosphere is very artsy. The painted walls are stunning and we did not have to wait long for our food. The ramen were delicious. Really good choice of ingredients and he flavors were really balanced. We hat the changes ramen and the special ramen which was a peanut ramen that day. Really recommend eating there but it’s a good idea to reserve a table. Especially if your party is larger than 2.

Delicious food and great service at MAKA Ramen for dinner. I sat at the chef’s counter so got a front row seat for the action. Plus got to have a great conversation with the chef and owners. The fried corn balls starter was perfect for summer. Even though they were friend, didn’t feel too heavy and stuffed with a lot of fresh corn and went perfectly with a cold beer. I got the beef ramen which is made with a beef and chicken stock that has a nice heft but still had some lighter notes. The broth had a nice saltiness to it that stood up well to the beef in bowl. I also added an extra soft boiled egg and their homemade fish cake which was really nice and had good texture. Would definitely come here again when back in Vienna! Thanks again for a delicious meal :)

We had 3 people so we tried all 3 different ramen. My friend lives in Vienna for 7 years and she said this is the only ramen she likes so she took us here. Amazed and quite surprised to taste, because the flavor is both authentic and creative at the same time. At first we did not think kimchi ramen a good idea, but then it turned out to be our favorite among 3 bowls. Complex but balance, not an usual ramen you can find. Tonkotsu is rich, charsiu very on point, the vegan one with tomatoes and corn is light but still flavorful. 100% recommend, can't wait to come back Vienna to try second time.
