Rudolf Gastwirtschaft — Restaurant in Vienna

This was the first place we’ve been upon arrival and of all the place we’ve been in Wien it was our favorite. The restaurant is located outside of the touristic routes but if you happen to be here, or if you rent an appartment nearby, make sure to visit Rudolf. The atmosfere inside is really welcoming with the furniture made of wood. You can also ask to sit in the inner yard which is full of greenery during the warm season. The food was delicious. Here you will find traditional Austrian dishes. We tried Frankfurter sausages as a starter, then big goulash, and Wiener schnitzel together with two different beers. The quality and portions were so good we thought we will explode 😂 we happen to be served by the owner himself who was very attentive and nice and spoke English. Wirtshaus mit einem schönen, grünen Gastgarten. Essen ist sehr gut 9/10, Preis-Leistung ist echt super, 10/10. Moderne, aber sehr adäquate Preise. Sehr persönlich, man merkt, dass sie das machen, weil sie Qualität bringen wollen, nicht um noch einen Euro mehr rauszuholen. Wenn man Hausmannskost sucht, gerade jetzt, wo der Blunzenstricker nicht mehr offen hat, ist der Rudolf auf jeden Fall einen Besuch wert. Sehr liebes Personal, und auch durchwegs anständige Gäste. Ambiente passt zum Essen und zum Konzept. Man darf hald nicht mit einer Hipster-Hütte rechnen. Hab bislang immer ausgezeichnet gegessen dort. Wenn ich etwas zum meckern suchen müsste, und der einzige Grund, warums beim Essen nicht 10/10 gibt, dann das mir auf der Karte ein bisschen der Mut zu was Neuen fehlt. Es ist hald durch die Bank klassisch deftig (was mir durchaus zusagt). Könnt mir auch gut vorstellen, dass der Chefkoch einmal die Woche eine Eigenkreation aufs Menü packt. Das hält ja auch die Kulinarik, die Gäste und den Koch jung ;) Aber auch das ist glaub ich eher mein persönliches Empfinden, zum Lokal passt's, und wenn sie sich so halten können find ich's gut.
