With our hotel nearby, Schnitzelpalast was a great place to stop to try pork schnitzel before heading out of town.
I showed the gentleman behind the counter a picture of the dish I wanted. He identified it and spoke English to make sure I had everything I needed, including ketchup, which you have to pay extra for.
The pork schnitzel was flat, crispy and well-coated. I'm still not sure what was in the breading, seeds maybe? It was certainly delicious but a little too salty for our liking. Maybe because there was more breading than pork in each bite?
Don't get me wrong; we ate the entire plate of schnitzel and crinkle fries (just fine)! The portion was seriously huge so my husband and I shared one dish. I wish I had room for one of their desserts. They looked so good!
The atmosphere is where they lost me. I couldn't wait to get out of there due to the excessively bright overhead lights. Also, there were flowers on the table that were covered in gnats. If I had the chance though, I would come...

Extremely thin, crispy, crunchy, and perfectly seasoned. It was bigger than the plate! The two people who were working were very nice and friendly and made us feel welcomed as tourists. Read moreI ordered one schnizel with soup and one drink with 12.4 eur. It WASN'T SO CHEAP TO ME since I am not living here but traveler from somewhere less fancy country. (Yes, Vienna has very high price.) But in general, I find the food pretty good and it was big portion too
