Hidden gem!
Never in my life would I have ever hoped for decent pizza in a mall like this - but to my amazement, this pizza not only tastes amazing, it is absolutely genuine Italian. My co-worker (Italian) could not believe it and now we go once a week. The dough is fresh, fluffy and just as tasteful as all these wonderful pictures lead you to imagine. The other ingredients are equally freshly sourced, tasty and just as they should be - all original. If the menu states mozzarella, this is what you get. Prosciutto - real deal. Parmigiano - you bet the chef will grate it before your eyes.
Since I am the pizza lover, I did not yet try the pasta or dolce, but as one of the other review stated, there are always new specialties and seasonal as well.
For desert, I will make sure, one of the next visits, to score a Pistachio tiramisu!
And a big praise to the staff as well, always welcoming, warm, friendly, charming and delightful - rounding out the experience to make you come back again and again and again...
So glad I gave it a shot, on a whim - this for me currently, is the BEST pizza in Vienna. And who would have ever thought it to be in the 11. district and situated inside Gasometer? Come and enjoy real genuine Italian pizza as...
Read moreI usually get pizza from this place and the pizza is amazing. However today i decided to eat lunch here and didn’t have a pleasant experience. The waitress didn’t come to my table at all but i had to get up and order at the counter even though the restaurant doesn’t work that way. I also didn’t get a napkin at all. I ordered the Pollo ai funghi and the mushroom sauce was incredibly salty, basically kidney pain salty. I ate half of my dish because I was starving , it’s not like I you eat before going to lunch. Then I realised that the thing is so salty that i started to feel physically sick form it, and I went to the waitress and said that it’s too salty and that if she didn’t believe me she could try it for herself, her and her supervisor come to my table and the supervisor was saying that I already ate half, they left without even apologising or showing in anyway that they were sorry for what happened. But they didn’t forget to say between them selves while leaving in Italian how i ate half and now I don’t want to pay for the meal - which I never said or mentioned because I made it clear that I would pay for the meal from the first moment. I feel stupid and my kidneys hurt from the salt. Aren’t you supposed to be nice to the costumer? With such behaviour how do you think anyones gonna return?
Read moreWell what can I say. I often visit Gasometer because it is the closet cinema. I didn't give the restaurants there any chance to be honest. But by chance I saw the reviews about this place and I have to say: yeah they are all right this is really great Pizza.
The Pizza and their toppings are of outstanding quality and they know their craft. The Pizza is super nice dough and tastes marvellous. Staff is immensely friendly and offer great service.
They have a fixed menu of Pizzas but change it up with specials that are only available for a limited time.
Don't be like me and be turned off by the whole "Gasometer-vibe! Give this place a chance and be amazed by the whole neopolitano pizza flair that this place...
