Restaurant Delphi — Restaurant in Villach

If I could give it 0 stars I would. Don’t eat there unless you want to return home angry, hungry and with a little stomach bug if you are brave enough to order the fish. The experience started fairly nice with the waitresses acknowledging the fact that I had waited to be seated and had some people who had seated themselves get up and wait. She also was very nice and recommended some dishes and that’s pretty much it. I had ordered a starter and a main(fish). The menu states that food takes 20 minutes to be delivered, however my starter took 40 minutes and my main took 1 hour. The starter, a fried aubergine looked fairly decent and tasted ok. Not what you would wait for a 4.6 star rated restaurant. When the fish finally came, not only was it undercooked but it showed very visible signs (clogged blood) that it had stayed in a fridge for a few days. I tried to eat it, but not only did it have no taste, it was also what you would expect from an undercooked, stale fish. All around me (including people who were seated after me) had their food delivered within the advertised 20 minutes. This old fish seemed to be the only problematic dish and I assume it took this long as it needed defrosting, cleaning and scrubbing blood out of its insides. The worst part is that when I signalled this to the what initially appeared to be a nice waitress she told me I am in fact incorrect and the fish is properly cooked and what I see as blood are cooked fish eggs. This level of audacity from some waiters is unbelievable to me. It’s as if I have never seen a fish ever in my life and she is the one bringing me to light and civilisation. The status of the fish conversation happened after I paid… so the audacity is through the roof...

The worst service ever. 2 hours 25 mins to get food. We waited at the table for over 30 minutes before I went and got our own menu’s. 10 mins later I went and got water at the bar for the family. 10 mins later they came and took our drink order. 15 minutes later they took our dinner order. After an hour and 20 minutes our food arrived after I went and got water twice. My calamari order was wrong and I sent it back. When my correct order arrived there was half the amount of calamari than on the first plate they brought out. I think they were...

This restaurant is with no doubt all you need to eat in Villach. We visited as a group of 4. They serve Greek and local dishes and everything is fresh and cooked properly! Portions were huge and the alcohol was good quality.

I ought to write about the service in this restaurant. Miltos and Theo took care of everything that we wanted and exceeded our expectations being very polite, professional and funny!
