A very quick and easy decision to go and try this restaurant as the reviews were excellent. Been there with my husband ( who loves a good steak) and my 3 year old. We were waiting for somebody to come and give us a table. Few minutes later comes a waiter and asked how many people ( 2 adults and a child) and asked if we have reservation( we did not have ) but we did call before and asked if there was anything free, to which they said there was. Only to tell us that his colleague will come and have a look. Few minutes later comes another waiter, same questionâŠ.2 adults 1 child. We were standing minimum 5 (definitely more) minutes there before we were taken to a table. We ordered, it was explained that the steak comes on a very hot stone and you can cook it yourself how you like it. All good , 2 steaks for my husband and my son and for myself I ordered a chicken breast. Did not expect that this will be also served on a stone. I cut through it and is still completely raw. I asked the waiter if they can properly cook it ( as i am pregnant as well and not allowed to eat nothing raw ) to which he said o have to cook it myself and if i need another hot stone he can bring me. Obviously the meat was not cooked through and I needed another stone which was brought about 10 minutes later( my meat was already cold). I refused it as I did not have the appetite anymore. Ended up eating only French fries . The personal as well was very down, not very friendly and helpful which was another down point .    Read moreWir hatten hohe Erwartungen an unseren letzten Besuch im Restaurant Route 66, da wir bereits öfter hier waren und stets zufrieden waren. Leider war dieser Besuch eine groĂe EnttĂ€uschung.
Wir hatten im Voraus einen Wunschtisch in der NĂ€he des Automuseums reserviert. Bei unserer Ankunft wurden wir erst nach einigen Minuten an der Rezeption bemerkt. Der Kellner verschwand fĂŒr lĂ€ngere Zeit hinter der Bar, ohne sich um uns zu kĂŒmmern. Als der zustĂ€ndige Kellner schlieĂlich erschien, war er sichtlich verĂ€rgert und wollte uns einen Platz an einem groĂen Tisch direkt neben den Treppen anbieten, obwohl wir ausdrĂŒcklich einen bestimmten Tisch reserviert hatten. Wir wurden auch nicht gefragt, ob wir an der Bar etwas trinken möchten, und als wir selbst nach einem Aperitif fragten, wurden wir ignoriert. Nach langer Wartezeit konnten wir schlieĂlich an unserem Wunschtisch Platz nehmen.
Das Hauptgericht, ein Steak, war leider inakzeptabel. Die Konsistenz war zĂ€h und gummiartig, was es nahezu unmöglich machte, es zu schneiden und zu kauen. Trotz sofortiger Reklamation und dem Hinweis, dass das Steak nicht essbar sei, dauerte es eine unglĂŒckliche Zeit, bis jemand auf unsere Beschwerde reagierte. Auch das zweite Steak, das mein Mann bestellte, wies Ă€hnliche MĂ€ngel auf und war ebenfalls von ungenieĂbarer QualitĂ€t.
SchlieĂlich wollten wir das Gericht zurĂŒckgeben, doch es landete trotzdem auf der Rechnung, was zu einer unangenehmen Diskussion mit dem Kellner fĂŒhrte.
