I visited Naughty Johhnny's on a friend's recommendation. I'd driven passed them a number of times before and not even thinking twice about going there.
Well, I was pleasantly surprised. Visited on a Sunday for Bahamian breakfast - twice now. Peaceful, relaxed atmosphere on a Sunday.
Ample free parking. Indoor and outdoor seating. Lovely colour wall murals inside, air conditioned with bar and table seating. But covered outside seating, also shaded by palms is very relaxed, with ceiling fans to help cool you down.
If choosing an outdoor seat, just peep inside to let one of the helpful servers know you're there.
Very varied breakfast (brunch) menu (see pic). I highly recommend the Stew conch -- if you choose Johnny cake - you get a WHOLE little yummy hot Johnny cake 😄! Boil fish (grouper) is commendable. Although on my second visit the centre cut boil fish was a tad disappointing as the grouper did not taste as fresh as I expected.
Great, attentive and courteous servers.
Clean, bright yellow (happy) restroom.
I would visit again, maybe checkout their...
Read moreWe went there to eat for lunch when we walked in the tables to the right were all reserved, understandable it was fathers day and the tables on the left were taken up they asked how many in our party I said 5 and they gave us menus and told us to go look for a table outside. We ordered 2 appetizers the calamari and the Awesome Blossom which came in somewhat a deasent amount of time. The calamari was ok but the Awesome Blossom was not so awesome, it could have definitely been deep fried a little longer. We had placed our appetizer and entrees at the same time so we were surprised that it took so long for our food to come out. We waited over an hour and there were so many mosquitos outside that I finally just told them to pack our food to go. They did have mosquito repellant candles at each table but it didn't help. When we made it home to eat we realized one of our orders was wrong it was supposed to be chx wings instead of chx tenders. The burger meat was bland no flavor. The shrimp also was...
Read moreThe food is ok. The service was good, but it took a long time for her to come check on us. My husband's burger was really undercooked. Not her fault. She should have came back within 5 or 10minutes to check though. My steak sandwich wasn't bad- a little tough. The kicker is the $9 for a child's lemonade. I get we are in the Bahamas and it's more expensive. It would be nice to have these prices listed because that cost more than my beer. All in all, it was just ok. This is our 3rd time with a subpar experience. $90 for lunch is bit much for the product. We get charga service charge and get virtually no service. That should change. Tipping is a big thing to me. I would never not tip. But to not get good service is and be charged grat is no cool. Everyone deserves to make a living wage. But ensure your staff is not stretched too thin or that they are...
