When I travel to Bangladesh, I’m here because my non-profit organization runs a medical clinic and child life center in the world’s largest refugee camp which is the Rohingya camp located in Cox’s Bazar. I stay at Le Meridien Dhaka before and after my flights to Cox’s Bazar. The refugee work has been the greatest gift in my life and while uplifting, a genocide-driven humanitarian crisis and the trauma it has inflicted on the Rohingya is emotionally draining for me and all humanitarians working on the crisis. Self-care through nourishing my mind, body and soul is critical for me. Le Meridien Dhaka delivers that nourishment.
The food at Le Meridien Dhaka is simply unrivaled. To call the Last Recipe food offering a “buffet” is a disservice to the chefs. The word “buffet” typically invokes a visual of unhealthy, uninspired, cold food presented in a cattle trough manner. The buffet in the Latest Recipe is the bi-polar antithesis of that horrible experience. Their food offerings are fresh, inspired, and extensive. I am a strict vegan with the only exception being when I’m traveling I sometimes have to eat fish as a source of protein when I’m unable to find a vegan source for protein. The protein-rich vegan offerings are endless at the Latest Recipe. It’s worth mentioning the Latest Recipe is the best hummus I’ve ever had. Behind the unmatched culinary experience at Latest Recipe is a team of warm, beacons of light who are a welcome engagement for a weary traveler. From the hostess who greets you with a genuine smile to the servers who intuitively know when you need something to the enthusiastic food servers behind the counters to Chef Mohammad Yousuf who takes the time to personally check-in with the diners, the positive energy created by the Latest Recipe staff is palpable.
The truly incomparable humans who work at Le Meridien Dhaka are a perfect personification of all the attributes I’m sure Le Meridien wants their brand to radiate. They are also extraordinary representatives of the Bangladeshi people who I believe are among the kindest human beings on earth. In a world where travel disappointment stories are often the loudest voice, I am extremely grateful for Le Meridien Dhaka and...

There is everything from oxtail with honey barbecued sauce perfectly cooked that falls from the bone to local speciality like paneer tika . Service is impecabile. I observed they are attentive to details like replenishing water and drinks and clearing the table as soon as you done with the service. Constantly checking if you need anything and if you are satisfied. I was impressed with Yusuf that made the best first impression and farewell service. As well Tasin and Mitu made great efforts to anticipate needs and achieve 100% customer satisfaction from us. I have more than 20 years in customer service so l can recognize great hospitality and be...
Read moreLet me start with the good things, their food. At least the most of it. Almost every item i tried was cooked to perfection. Seasoning, temperature control, and texture on point. Ribs were the most favorite item on my list. This was a meal i really enjoyed. Now for the few points of improvement. When you pay a lot of money for a single meal, you deserve more attention. I had to take points away from service as the plates, glasses, and cutlery were not well polished, and some of them were greasy. I hope Le Meridien and the latest recipe will pay more attention to it. I love to try the sushi wherever i go. And the sushi station you had was one of the worst. I hope you guys will take these points into consideration until my...
