Pizza King is one of the oldest restaurants in Old Dhaka. It is right infront of the Lalbag Fort. Tried their chicken baked pasta and thai soup. Both of them were moderate in taste.

The pasta smelled bad to me because they probably added coconut milk in it. I personally didn’t like the smell of coconut in pasta. However, people with different tastebud may get amazed with the flavour. Usually a good quality pasta feels spongy to bite but it felt like i was eating some pieces of wheat. Although chicken, cheese mushrooms were plenty but I didn’t like the taste. The price of the pasta was 320/- in the menu but I had to pay 360+ after adding the VAT. No marking was visible in the menu that the prices were VAT exclusive. I would rate the pasta 5 out of 10. I am saying again, this is my personal opinion. Others may rate it higher.

The soup was better than the pasta. It had plenty amount of chickens, mushrooms and shrims. The price was 170 in the menu and 177 after addinf the VAT. They used lemon leaf along with lemon grass. Which made the soup more flavourful. I cannot say I dislike it. I would rate 8 out of 10.

Pizza King has reneovated its interior but I liked the previous one that had blue clouds over the ceiling. I miss the old Pizza King.
