We were in Barbados last February just after the bar had opened and loved the place. It was busy with a good atmosphere, good vibe and reasonably priced drinks. Got back in yesterday and headed to the bar last night to find it lacking in every aspect and not particularly friendly. Worst of all the prices of drinks has rocketed from if my memory serves me well $11 or $12Bds for a Banks and a rum 'n coke, to $25Bds for the same drinks. At those prices I would want to be served by Mia Motley herself. Will not be in a rush to return.
Thank you Mr Corky's Owner for your response, but we both know I was referring to your location in Worthing which has not been open for 8 years, you opened it in early 2024. The staff at the location in Worthing have changed since the opening, and whereas those earlier in the year were welcoming and friendly the staff I encountered in the last 3 weeks were not. This fact is borne out by other recent reviews. You have tried to reassure me that your prices have not changed in the last year .... so how is it possible for a rum and coke to go from $8 in February to $14 last week and as for remaining competitive... the bar next door (which I shall not name) sells a rum and coke at $7. Is that COMPETITIVE. I am staying at a location that is literally a couple of metres from the bar, I pass it several times everyday and no matter what time I pass, there has never been more than 2 or 3 people in the bar including the staff. Probably the reason why it was closed on Monday last, when it was open on the previous 2 Mondays. Another point supported by recent reviews. I conclude by saying, I was so looking forward to coming back to your bar, but like others have been so disappointed. Its future is in your hands, I hope to find on my next visit that the bar is thriving and I will happily write a very...
Read moreI didn’t get a picture but the nachos here were incredible. I asked if they were home made and they said yes. The nacho chips were unlike anything back home in America. They were so delicate, crispy, flavorful, and did not break when trying to dip/pick up toppings with them. The chili and corn toppings were also a unique twist. They had happy hour for their rum punch and they were very tasty. Very friendly staff as well. Loved the atmosphere and sitting in the front people...
Read morePlesent bar with lots of rum to chose from, cigars were nice but there were only two different cigars to chose from when we arrived and only 6 cigars in the humidor, didn't eat there so I can't comment on that. Was very quiet when we arrived but that's not the bars fault and I didn't mind that. Nice to sit outside and let the world go by. Young lady serving us was helpful and the drinks and cigars were reasonable priced. Needs a better choice of cigars to be really called a...
