Be Leaf — Restaurant in Antwerp

A very unpleasant impression of this establishment. After the waiter took our order, drinks were brought in about 10 minutes, and we waited for breakfast for about 50 minutes and decided to refuse. We went to the cash register to pay for drinks and refuse breakfast, to which one of the employees rudely replied that it was our problem, not the cafe's. We objected, after which the employee began to rudely drag us out of the establishment. Honestly, this is the first time in my life that I have encountered such a situation in the service...

Unfortunately very disappointing experience. Had to wait one hour for two dishes a tuna club and a ocean bowl. Tuna club was greasy, small and not very flavorful. Ocean bowl was a (small portion considering price) yoghurt that was basically frozen. Was having chunks of ice in it. Total shame as it for sure would have probably had flavor if it would not.have been frozen. Overall considering the price not worth it. A shame as the place is cozy and the staff friendly. Be Leaf is a well-designed spot with a clean, modern look — quiet when we arrived on a Saturday morning, which was surprising.

We had the Venetian omelet and eggs Benedict. Presentation was nice, but the flavors didn’t leave much of an impression.

Service was attentive and warm, which made the experience smoother.

Good if you care more about a calm atmosphere than memorable food.
