Good afternoon, everyone. I hope my review helps you save your money. The interior design of this place is very nice, and I was happy when my friend and I ended up at such a beautiful location. However, the service was awful. I have never have been treated that awfully by the manager in any restaurant across Europe.
My friend and I ordered a pizza and two drinks. The waiter brought us our drinks and two pizzas, stating that I was lying amdborder too and anyway..it is not allowed to share food in the restaurant. We ordered a second dish and I simply asked to inform the guests about this policy before we place the order as I felt scamed. Instead of apologizing, the waiter called for a manager.
To my surprise, the manager told us that they were doing us a favor by allowing us in since they were overbooked (despite several free tables available) and that we were in the « restaurant » and not in some …brasserie.
Isn't it true that in the restaurant the manager is supposed to deal with guests in a polite manner or am I mistaken?
Perhaps the staff here have never worked in Michelin restaurants or places where customer service is valued. But still, I was shocked by this attitude. Maybe ok we were not lucky or the waiter had some issues that day but I never expected in a « restaurant » such an attitude from the manager.
In the end, they did not charge us for two cappuccinos, which is nice, of course. but the way it was handled made us feel like we were causing a scene or that we couldn't afford the place (which is ridiculous).
When you go to a restaurant, you expect to be welcomed, not to have a manager argue that you don't understand the rules when it was the staff who made a mistake.
To top it off, when we ordered another dish instead of our second pizza, they "forgot" to remove it from the bill. Hm... In the beginning, I was thinking of taking my collègues for a nice business meeting here. Well, for...
Read moreSimply Stunning: Beauty and Flavor Collide at Danieli Divino!
From the moment you arrive, Danieli Divino captivates you. Situated in a truly great location, it has to be said that this is easily one of the most beautiful restaurants I have ever stepped foot in. The ambiance is simply breathtaking – whether it's the decor, the lighting, or the overall architectural feel, it creates an immediate sense of occasion and sophistication. It’s the kind of place that makes you feel special just by being there.
But Danieli Divino is far more than just a pretty face. The food is genuinely very, very good, offering a comforting and expertly prepared selection of Italian favorites. The menu reads like a greatest hits of classic Italian cuisine, ensuring there's something tempting for everyone.
We decided to try the Sole and the Saltimbocca, and both dishes were absolutely spot-on. The Sole was cooked to delicate perfection, flaky and flavorful, while the Saltimbocca was rich, savory, and utterly delicious – exactly as it should be. It’s clear the kitchen respects the ingredients and understands how to execute these classic dishes with finesse.
Adding to the wonderful experience was the staff. They were thoroughly professional, attentive without hovering, and genuinely nice. They made us feel welcome and well-cared-for throughout the meal, contributing significantly to the overall positive atmosphere.
If you're looking for a restaurant that delivers on stunning aesthetics, a fantastic location, delicious and authentic Italian food, and great service, this restaurant should be high on your list. It's a perfect blend of visual delight and culinary satisfaction. Highly...
Read moreWe visited yesterday. The location is beautiful and atmospheric, surrounded by woods. We were warmly welcomed by the manager - a friendly woman who provided a clear explanation of the offerings. Unfortunately, that was where the positives ended, as we had hoped to enjoy some pizza and drinks in a relaxed setting, but were soon disappointed.
No pizza sharing option. There was no option to share a pizza between two people. If sharing isn’t allowed, the menu should at least indicate the size of the pizza (small/medium/large) so customers can make informed decisions. As it stands, it feels like you’re expected to order blindly — leading to potential food waste. The unspoken message comes across as: “If you don’t agree, you’re free to leave.”
Excessive prices. Prices are difficult to justify — for example, a San Pellegrino costs 8 to 10 times more than its retail price. While it's normal to pay a premium for the location and service, this felt excessive, as if the main intention was to simply overcharge visitors.
Service attitude needs improvement. A man waiter gave off a clear “dress to impress” mentality, showing little openness to guests who may visit spontaneously. It's important to remember that attire should never influence the quality of service.
Finally, I hope this feedback is taken as constructive and results in positive changes — rather than being...
