Melkerij Nachtegalenpark — Restaurant in Antwerp

This place is a true shame! We were there the first of november with 16 people sitting outside with this beautiful weather . All the tables outside were filthy ! We saw the waiters taking orders everywhere but not at our tables.. we were on total ignore!! After half a hour they came outside to tell us they decided not to serve outside any longer! It was 4 pm for crying out loud! We will never go there anymore, who do they think they are to treat people the way they do! It is detestable! We left and went somewhere else .. it was a nice place long time ago, the location is beautiful, the house itself is wonderful. What a shame to see how they decided to treat their customers! They take the clientele for granted... we hated it! August 2023 : I went back because I desperately needed to eat an was in the neighbourhood..well nothing changed , service was ok ..I asked the waiter for a quiche with salad and pine nuts..he told me it was a broccoli home made tart..I said ok.. I received à industrial round tard with some corn and dried tomatoes , and lots of flour , no pine nuts at all! I asked the waiter why it was different and he answered with such a attitude " well at least it has no meat" so be happy... a great deal of waiters were just chatting and smoking.. and there was a lot of work to clean...

Just next to the big playground you can find this brasserie. As many families come there with their children there are always lots of people coming to this place.

Except for the good location and that it looks gorgeous inside it is unbelievably expensive.

We took a panini, just a sandwich that is just putted between a grill, and it costed over 10 euros. You get some vegetables along with it but this is never worth this money.

At some places for this money you can get a good filling main course, and here you will leave hungry unless you want to pay over 20 euros for a main dish which was not even good hearing from other people.

Drinks are also expensive.

Please don’t feed money to this goldmine, bring your own food and drinks and just go to another place which actually...

Very unfriendly staff. In the most arrogant and sarcastic manner I was told by their waitress "Linsey" I cannot just order coffee. They first sent me to a kiosk across the cafe (which actually is not part of the cafe). After a long queue at the kiosk I found out they don't serve coffee today, so I went back inside the cafe. Linsey just looked at me and said "no" (i had not even spoken to her), then accused me of being impatient and ended saying "veel succes!" sending me away with a grin on her face. I totally understand just ordering coffee isnt big business for them. But we often come for food with the whole family, and are good customers. Such rudeness is simply no way to treat clients, and will make them loose business!! Obviously Linsey doesnt...
