De Ware Jacob — Restaurant in Antwerp

My wife and I were delighted that the Ware Jacob has reopened. We used to love coming here and it is fabulous that the new proprietor has kept the atmosphere of our beloved Ware Jacob the same and it's just as friendly and welcoming as before.

If you like your more interesting dark Belgian Trappist beers like Rochefort then this is for you. It's sympathetically lit, plays unobtrusive music and offers the usual Belgian bar snacks.

Classic Brown Bar, good beer selection on tap and bottles. I ate at TrangKyoo and the owner went and got me a beer to pair with my meal, I returned the glass after dinner and stayed for several more beers. A crowd of English guys came in and caused a ruckus, got rightfully thrown out. In and outside seating....

One of the best experiences we had! Rather small, so it is possible you cannot find a seat. But you do have to come back and try again, it was one of the cosiest cafes we visited, a great place for a drink! The beer menu is quite extensive for such a small place, and we got a matching glass with each beer....
