Restaurant Maza'j — Restaurant in Auderghem - Oudergem

I usually love Lebanese food but was really disappointed by Maza’j.

While the starters tasted quite good and looked nice as did dessert (but were small), the main course was a big big disappointment.

Our table of four couldn’t believe that for menus totalling 180 euros in total, we each got ONE PIECE OF CHICKEN and HALF a brochette to share. It was frankly insulting and cheap.

None of the dishes bar the prawns even tasted good at all. Drinks were also expensive and the presentation was poor.

The food was nice, but it took 3 hours to bring the 3 plates. Also we were 4 people at dinner and wanted to share 3 meal courses. Only at the end of the dinner, we were told that it was not ok to share and that an extra service should be charged for the fourth person who has not ordered, but no excuses for the 3h waiting for the food.

Cela fait des années que je fréquente ce restaurant libanais, nous sommes retournés pour un dîner du soir entre ami(e)s récemment. Une des personnes de notre table a choisi le plat d’entre côte ( 35 €/plat ) avec la cuisson de viande bien cuite, lorsque le plat est arrivé à table la viande était saignante. Nous avons demandé pour que la viande soit un peu plus cuite et donc retournée le plat vers la cuisine, au retour la même viande est arrivé avec un côté très cuite presque carbonisée, la viande comme un caoutchouc impossible de couper pratiquement dedans, l’ami en question n’a pas mangé son plat car la viande était trop dure et carbonisée. Le chef est arrivé à notre table pour dire que le serveur lui avait pas précisé le type de cuisson. Ce serveur travail dans cet établissement depuis plusieurs années et il est au top, adorable. Peut-être qu’il a oublié de préciser le type de cuisson mais le plat est préparé par le chef et pas par le serveur.
