D herberghe — Restaurant in Blankenberge

I got shamed for ordering coffee instead of beer by the very assertive waitress. She sure knows how to handle the rough crowd in the bar thanks to her 76 years of experience. Her anecdotes and innuendos bothered us less than the drunken clients, clearly summoned from the margins of society.

She also tried to ignite chaos among our group by entertaining populistic notions about Belgian beers, but luckily we were distracted by a very baroque patron, practically falling asleep under our tables.

Nice corner pub, run by a lovely and helpful lady. The place is also pretty disability friendly as the toilets are on the same floor and no stairs to navigate which is not a given in Belgium in general....
