Masala Indian restaurant — Restaurant in Blankenberge

Very friendly but limited in their communication if you are not a West-Flanders speaking person. It a nice place to be, cosy with dark wood and some Marrocan accents but otherwise very traditional interior. The food is rather dull, no depth, no layers of tastes, no spices coming through in the dishes as you would expect. We had a fish soup and that was ok, as an exception. It's a small place, and the interior design is low key. The food was fantastic, we had the Tapa's Medina as a starter and then each of us a Tajine, with was fabulous and delicious. Adorant manger du couscous, et de passage à Blankenberge, nous sommes retourné à ce restaurant car il y a quelques années nous avions bien aimé... Mais là...quelle déception... bouillon sans goût avec énormément de 🥕(ceci dit bonnes et croquantes) et potimarron ??? (coupé en enormes morceaux !) rikiki morceaux de courgettes, quand aux oignons ?, navets ?, céleri... (on les cherche toujours...) Quand au gigot... bof bof, cuisson limite, vraiment pas de 1er choix, loin d'être goûteux et savoureux comme nous avons l'habitude de le manger ...! Plat pas très chaud en dehors de la semoule. Plus le vin (marocain) Boulaouane rosé désiré en stock... (2 choix sur la carte !)

Le garçon était pourtant serviable mais jamais présent dans le restaurant (3 tables)! La patronne descendue se chercher du thé, sans la moindre attention vis-à-vis des clients... par contre, gueuler dans la cuisine elle savait faire... puis est repassée avec son plateau de thé toujours sans le moindre intérêt pour ses clients !

Nous n'y retournerons plus, ça c'est certain !!! Tristounet... Bonne chance à ce restaurant...
