Salito Beach — Restaurant in Blankenberge

Very nice place, with playground and very good cocktails. Unclear how you'll get the drinks. You're left to fogure out on your own that although you have menus on the table you need to go and order the drinks and pick them up. Main negative adpect and the reason I give them 3 stars (tempted even to say 2 stars) : the toilets. A very deceiving and humiliating experience. You have to pay to use the toilets (well, in fact, for the same physiological needs you have to pay uf you're a woman - no need to oay if you're a man ; I very rarely feel discriminated against, but this was a clear case. You need to have a specific coin to use the toilets - although there is lady cleaning (well, passing a wet cloath and leaving the toilet seat wet and grhhhh...). So if you don't have a 50 cents coin, you're welcome to beg (the lady or someone else) to change the money you have. Also, obviously, she tries to catch the door open to clean, if someone leaves while she cleans and another door closes, she will obviously not put a coin in to open the door...

After coming to this beach for the last few years, today will be the last time we will ever come here. We had to listen to loud music that some other people were listening to. We asked them to turn it down but they refused, then we asked a beach attendant to tell them to turn it down. The attendant’s response was that it’s holiday and people are having fun. Well we didn’t have fun! It’s good to know that in Salito’s opinion only the people who were listening to loud music had the right to have fun, but we didn’t have the right to have a nice time at the beach relaxing. A total disappointment. What if every person on the beach would come with their own loudspeakers and each listened to different music. I guess that is fun too …...

Wij hebben op 1 dag de beachbar 2x bezocht. Smorgens met weinig volk en in de namiddag met veel volk. We hebben smorgens plaats genomen op de ligbedjes aan de speeltuin zodat de kindjes goed konden spelen en ons makkelijk terug vonden. Toen werd niets gezegt van de prijs van het ligbed. In namiddag kwamen we terug omdat we daar best goed zaten. Terug een plaatsje aan de speeltuin met de ligbedjes we bestellen drinken waarvan 1 cocktail, op de cocktail moesten we al 15min wachten personeel aan de bar had niets gemeld over deze lange wachttijd en het is dan nog geen hoog seizoen. Na dat we drinken hadden besteld en terug plaats nam op onze ligzetels kwamen ze dan pas zeggen dat de ligbedden 9euro kosten terwijl ze ons daar plaats hebben zien nemen en we daar toch al een tijdje zaten voor we drank hadden. Er was voor de rest van de beachbar geen plaats meer op plaats te nemen dus hebben wij onze drank snel benuttigd en doorgegaan. Gezellig en service is natuurlijk iets anders. Het had fijn geweest als dit zoals in verschillende beachbars vermeld geweest dat de ligbedden 9euro was en dat wij hier smorgens als we er ook waren al op gewezen waren.
